View Full Version : EFI pre pumps
What pumps are people using to feed swirl pots ie Carter, Holley ect.
Tell me the models and what they are like, noise, reliability, cost.
cheers
I use a Carter, cost about $100. It's fairly noisy even tho' its rubber mounted, but its nowhere near as bad as the Holley Blue that I had before.....
I used a Facet. Can't remember how much (but less than $100), but its fairly reliable and quiet.
Lambs whch model carter did you use?

I'll be using two 'universal pre-pumps' in parrallel to feed my surge tank, they are available from efi.com.au and are part number 11003... I know this because they are sitting on my desk...

Sorry but not sure, if I get the chance I'll check it and let you know. Think it was in the 60-80gph region in turms of capacity.

is facet one of those piston type pumps? if so, have heard some not-so good things. not sure if true or not. i guess the main one being spikes in the fuel pressure, which aint so important if its just filling up a surge tank
Im using a Pierberg Pressure pump, about $130 from memory..from Ashdown's in Canberra
