Hi.
Does anyone know how to test the Crank Angle Sensor on an RB25DET.
I am trying to wiring up a microtech computer, and it doesn't seem to be getting a signal from the CAS.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx

Hook up a multimeter in A/C mode across the wires. In some cases (my SAAB) you will need to supply +12v to one of the lines before you will get an output voltage.
The SAAB puts out something in the range of 1.5-2V when cranking.
A Daihatsu Mira Turbo also put out something in the same range.
Hope that helps,

I think from memory that the Nissan optical CAS is a 5v system.
I've got a oscilloscope you could use to check for waveform/timing.
It's old school but it works!!
Hit me with an email if your keen.
