Putting monster tach in 89 honda civic

Just a question, why are you putting a monster tach in a `89 Civic? :wtf: :rolleyes:

Maybe his car doesn't have a tacho.
Maybe he's custom fabricated a new dash with new gauges.
There could be a million reasons why he needs this information, and so far, none of us have helped him out. So unless you can help him out, why bother with pointless posts such as the two above this?

justfollow the spark plug leads... ill ask dfekm3 for you..

its right at the front.. you cant miss it.... where the spark plug distributor is there is 2 wires that come off it. it might be covered but im not too sure. there should be 2 wires... blue and black. from memory it should be the blue wire that you tap the tacho wire into.

This isnt my car. its my mates (standard civic with original dash).....he come round today asking me to do it
putting a tacho in my car (2" one) was easy cause i could locate my coil

we also put mesh where his grille usually is

and yeah i have told him that the monster tach is a total wank and is very ricey
