are there any aftermarket self tuning ecu out there?

so far i only know freedom ecu from Japan can but it run Japanese window!

There are none, period. It will be many many years before an accurate way of self mapping ignition timing is out there. Knock sensing is not the answer as rarely is the best timing the point just before the knock point. Cylinder pressure is something that some companies have played with but until it is both reliable and affordable you most likely wont see it in the aftermarket.

Self fuel tuning can be done but still requires some input and the right gear.

The basic settup of your car CAN be attained by using an Autronic ECU, then use a learning ECU purchase from Autronic for About $400 on top. Fairly good reputation. Not perfect but a good base MAP.

as hitman correctly said, NO ecu's self tune the ignition.. .the autronic auto-tune only does the fuel to predetermine A/F ratios set in the open-loop table....

You still have to work the ignition table manually to optimise max torque without pinging
