1.5-way or 2-way LSD?

I understand the difference between how a 1.5 and a 2 way LSD works (i.e. 1.5 only locks slightly under deceleration). But what are the implications on the track (circuit not drags)? Which type gives superior handling?

I have heard that 2-way LSDs can cause understeer? True or false?

It is interesting that a 2-way LSD is said to be good for drag racing... I though drag races only involved accelerating. Never thought that stability under braking was that important in a drag.
