Hi,

I have recently wired up my car with a microtech MT8 in stand alone mode (Not piggy backed with standard ecu). I have and RB25DET in a silvia.

I can get the car to start, but i can't get it to run on all 6 cylinders. It won't fire the first coil. I have checked all the wiring, replaced the microtech loom, sent the ECU back to microtech and had it tested, and they say it is fine. Replaced the ignitor, Coil, Spark Plug, Crank angle sensor.

Does any one have any idea???

If someone has a microtech running a rb25det, could they please send me a wiring diagram of what they have done?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thanx

Are you running full seqential ign or waste spark??

If the later then it won't be firing on 1 or 6 if it in an ECU or wiring problem.

I had one on a rb25det same problem, you need to reverse 2 of the ignitor wires, the microtech circuit is wrong, just keep changing the ignitor wires until it works. Better still get rid of it and run an R32 gtst factory computer, microtechs are junk anyway I will never own another one.

All fixed now. One of the coil wires had spilt and was shorting out to ground.

However, now i have 6 cylinders, but the car misses and pings and drops a cylinder under boost. I am going to check my injectors wires and connections.

What else could it be?

Thanx
