need a performnce sleeper as afamily car and am thinking of a 1992 or so cressida with some sort of turbo engine installed other than 7m gte because of there head gasket troubles what is easy to install ie bolt in or close to it

Get a Chaser front cut with the 1JZ-GTE engine. The Chaser is very similar to the Cressida so all the gear swaps right over.

The 1JZ-GTE is the replacement for the 7M - Toyota obviously learned from their mistakes, because the JZ engines come with a steel headgasket! Pretty much no chance of blowing the headgasket in one of these, unless you do something REAL stupid. :)

Oh yeah, they have 280hp from the factory (potential for LOTS more with bolt-ons) so it should get your luxo-barge moving along quite nicely...

Get yourself to the ToyMods forum, plenty of people there have done 1JZ swaps and I think a few people have done the exact swap I mentioned.
