Putting a Ford XD six into an XC ute: electronic ignition setup

Hey guys,
my mate wants to put the six out of his XD Falcon into is XC Falcon ute but he is uncertain of what has to be done in terms of wiring up the XD's electronic ignition to his ute which doesn't have it. Who knows what's involved.

hey man,
it should be pretty easy, if he is changing the complete motor over, the dizzy and coil can be left in place, right?

basically leave the dizzy wired to the dizzy as it is on the XD, and put the wires on the ute to the same coil terminals on the new motor.

that should work just fine.

I don't have the exact details for this swap, but basically you will need to wire up the module as it is in the donor car. Most of the wires go to the coil/dizzy, the extras are for power, earth and tacho.

If you have the colours for the wires coming out of the ignition module I will see if it matches my XC V8 wiring.
