Hi,
I recently made up some battery packs for my digital camera, soon to be cameras and I have enough left gear to make up 2 digital camera battery packs.
The packs are rated at 6VDC 4000 mAh, yes you read right 4000mAh.
Included in the package will be:
* Battery pack
* Curly Power cord, terminated in a 2 prong female ac adaptor socket.
* A selection of power jacks, you can buy more from jaycar.
* Battery charger, multi voltage, 4.8 - 9 V, NI-MH and NICAD, with discharge function, and trickle charge.
To give you and Idea how long they last for, I went to Oran Park yesterday and today, with a set of 1300 mAh in the battery compartment and a 2400 mAh pack (this was an earlier design) I got over 700 shots at 1600x1200 writing 1.0MB+ (SHQ) files on every shot!!!, Earlier this year at Eastern Creek the best I got with just the 1300's was 50 shots at 1600x1200 writing 400K files (HQ). Going off these numbers I'm expecting to get over 1200 shots on the 4000 mAh pack.
Price: I'm looking to get around $130 per pack with charger pretty fair when jaycar sells an 1800 mAh pack for $99.00, If you add the cost of the parts it will cost around $200.00 let alone the time to assemble.
