i just wondering whether the turbo on a gtx is roller bearing or not, ive tried looking on other sites but am unable to find anything. and also what sort of boost can i run safely with standard intercooler, other mods are cat back exhaust, and pod filter.

the turbo's on the GT-X's are RHB5 VJ20
no they are not ball bearing they run on standed brass brgs
(2 x 7mm brgs)
the mazda GT-R turbos are ball bearing RHF6 VJ23
unsure of what max boost u can run through the very small intercooler..
when you recondition/upgrade the turbo it is a very good idea to port the wastegate port it lets you run higher boost
without worring about over boosting (very common with the GT-X when upgraded & with enlarged turbo back exaust)
here is some pages i found there is more pages about the GT-R
than the GT-X on the net but is abit helpfull

i have found a front mount on JMS off of a 2ltr supra would this be enough to help with me running higher boost. the dimensions are 370mmx280x75. Also where would i be able to find a turbo or something similiar to the one on a GTR, or would it be better to get it high flowed. :worship:
