Ems 8860

I was reading ZOOM no.53 today and they have an article on aftermarkent management. The section about the EMS 8860 sounded as though it f@#@en good. They also said that it cost $1600 approx. pretty cheap considering its features. Can anyone get me a upto date price.

i read it too, mapping resolution looks great, and has all the features of other comps, they said it's kinda still under development tho..... i will only believe this info when i see a car with one installed in it....

I talked to Vince rigoli who will be one of the first to receive the 8860, and according to him, it will have as many, if not more features than haltech/autronic.. and be quite possibly the best BANG for your BUCK Computer on the market...

Yeah the new EMS is a great ECU for the dollar. My tuner has just installed one into a mx6 turbo. It has some very advanced tuning features for such an affordable computer. They have definately done their homework.

Chris can get the computer and loom for about a grand, then tuning and install after that. A cheaper solution to Motec and Autronic.

Sorry guys i was a little bit confused, the EMS i am talking about is called the Stinger and it comes in under a grand for ecu and loom and can only be programmed by laptop. The EMS 8860 is yet to be released.

PeterD - The stinger was installed to the MX6 though and works with the auto also. Quickmaz - 3245 4171.

EMS have sold out of Stingers for a month or two until they manufacture some more. Seem to have all the features for such a low priced unit.

Are there any websites or something where I can find more info on the stingers? I can't find anything on it... saw something about Dual Sport... not the same one right?
