does anyone have a nice system installed in a single cab ute?

I was thinking 6x9's and 6" splits. i'm unsure if i can fit a sub in or if its really necessary for what i'm after.

anyone got ideas on firstly what components i need, and secondsly where to fit them all (no parcel rack, where does the sub go?...etc...)

i'm not after a huge SPL setup, just something not too expensive to pump some tunes whilst cruising.

What sort of ute?

My brother in law has a '99 78 series cruiser with 6" splits in the front doors on custom pods a 10" sub under the pasenger seat with a four channel amp in tri mode with stacker. Because of the small size of the cab it f**king hammers!!!!

I haven't actually got a ute yet, but i'll definitely get one...one day.

it will probably be either a Subaru Brumby or a HiLux type ute (hilux, navara, rodeo, triton, etc...)
- i can't afford to run a V8 Kingswood :(

so it should be all sweet with just a sub and splits?

In a single cab, you don't need much for it to go off!

Am putting a system in my ute that is ALpine Head Unit, 12 Stacker, Focal Polyglass splits, 4 channel amp and a 10Alpine sub that will be installed near the Fuel Tank.

If you get a Targa top brumby and plan on taking the glass out you lose room behind the seats where you store the glass. But if its a tin top no hassles plenty of room behind the seats EJ20TT brumby Majjord own up here has a sub in it and its a Targa.

mates been thinking of setting up a custom tool box just behind the cabin to fit a couple of subs, do you reckon he could get all the distortion out of it? or would there always be some cause of the tray, and could you put ports into the cabin??
