Just wondering whether anyone out there knows much about Suzuki motors. I was wondering whether the G13A and G13b heads are interchangeable or whether the G13b head can be fitted to the G13a block. The g13a came out in the Sierra's and G13b in the Swift GTI. I'm pretty sure that the block's are different but maybe someone will prove me wrong.:D

Well u can put a g13b head onto g16a block with only getting like a new crank pully and different belt
see here (http://www.autospeed.com/A_0004/page1.html)
so im only guessing but i'd say it'd be the same or eaiser than that...
go an look at

I haven't done it, but I'm pretty sure that they'd swap over okay.
Yes, the blocks are a little different, but not enough to worry about.
Yeah the heads are use the same gasket, so I guess they are interchangable. The G13b does come out in the sierra post '90 modles, but if you want a better head, you can fit a 8 valve head from a G16A (Vitara). These have 4mm larger intake ports, larger valves and larger exhaust ports as well. But still it would be better to use a 16v Vitara head. :)
