Handling dept on my 99 model rex sedan is completely standard. Rear shocks have had it from repeated hard launches i guess;) ;) Anyways, how do you make these things handle. I wanna dial out some of the understeer, and get rid of the "floaty" feel it has when pushing hard through the apex of a long corner. Car has 45000 kms on it. I have been looking at the Whiteline kits availiable. Anyone had one of these fitted??? And if so results?

Just about every Rex owner I know has some Whiteline gear on his/her car.

Not sure how their shocks compare to others because I am still running stockers, but everything else is good gear. They are nice guys too and always willing to assist.

I have the following on my 01 Hatch and I love the ride.

"Low" Springs (Tried Superlow but the ride sucked on OEM Struts)
22mm Front Sway
24mm Adjustable Rear Sway with Heavy Duty Mount and Links
Anti-lift Kit
Rear Camber Bolts
Front and Rear Strut Braces

Cheers,

Scott

Yes theres just so much out there for Subaru's, be careful or you will realise one day you've spent a few grand on suspension :)

A mate of mine got some DMS 50's last week, he will also be getting a lot more suspension bits to match soon.
Cant wait to go in his car, though I think I will get my pants scared off me :)

I'll add Proflex struts, front and rear LSDs, and adjustable strut tops to the list! :)

I don't mind mine in standard trim and before you say I must be wearing some pink frill knickers, I do push it.

With 45000km's your shockers should be fine???

Play around with tyre pressures to elimate the understeering...

I run 36psi up front and 33 psi at the rear, and am happy. Geez it handles better than my old 200sx and I spent over $1500 on springs and shockers...

Yes you are right :)

Whiteline antilift kit, front and rear adjustable swaybars with links and mounts, rear camber kit, low springs (Kings cheap second hand :), Koni adj. inserts, whiteline street alignment, and lots of good advice from the guys there in fine tuning the setup. And adjustable stuff is great for track / street settings.

cheers,
Paul

I was told the MY99 already has anti lift kit as standard. Can anyone confirm this?

No MY99 doesn't have one as standard. (I have MY99 WRX)

The antilift kit changes rear control arm bush from rubber to polyurethane and changes the position of the control arm slightly to give more positive castor, which results in a less lift, more dive geometry.
