Just wondering if DBA make custom rotors and if so how much is it roughly, id imgaine its pretty pricey.

I have upgraded the brakes on my 260z and after a bit of research and help from the z car workshop in brisbane that a simple upgrade is to run hilux 4 spot calipers on the front with z31 300zx vented discs and rear r31 skyline brakes and calipers on the back.

Now the hilux caliper bolts straight on and the skline rotors fit on easily, the calipers needed their mounts modified a bit. The 300zx discs however required spacers to be machined as the hat size was shallower then the standard 260z brakes.

Hopefully next year I want to upgrade to new slotted discs and was wondering if I could get the 300zx discs with the right hat size or would still have to use the spacers.

Thanks :D

Custom work is normally on minimum order quantity and unfortunately its not cheap.
Any one of our machining cells is worth $1 mil or more and to stop production and have an Engineer program and run special discs costs us a lot of money.
What we have done is supply suitable castings to our performance distributors and they machine them to suit.

Zed,

I had similar problems to you, but in reverse. I didn't reseach custom rotors, but did research different rotors. I've documented what I did. It's on my site. I hope it's of some use.
