hi just wondering if i could pick the brains of someone out there...

i'm considering buying a b16a front cut for my crx and i've found one but it is an auto...would i have problems using my current transmission etc with the b16a (i.e.is it a completely different setup) or would it be easily modified

cheers:)

yeah u can get auto b16as.. think that come in ef civic... somthing like that.......

how does it change at 8,000rpm.... and with 4 gears its gonna be weird

you can proababyl convert the auto to manual, but ti isnt worth the trouble with manual so riddly available..

unless you use hondata to increase your total rpm limit... b16a's will rev to 8500 easy on stock internals !

blkcrx... think the OEM rpm cut off is like at 8100 rpm...from what ive read..

if redline for an auto is at 7600....... that means it cuts at peak power..........

Peak power on the auto B16a is lower in the rev range due to the crappy cams.....

Marty you will have a world of trouble with the auto B16A and the gearbox from the ZC is not going to do the trick............manual B16As are not hard to find anyway and also the auto motor is B16A2 from memory which would make the conversion into the CRX a little more difficult........................
