The third one unless you plan on never selling the car, in which case how about a 3SGTE?

Whats the specs on a 3S-GTE?? I have no idea about displacement etc. I could always do the third one tho probably more worth it haha, like the car isn't even mine my parents bought it for me to learn on and I can buy it off em if I want haha,

I dunno what model Barina you have but some guy over here in Perth has the model before the new shape(i think), his getting about 230hp out of his barina mill with a hairdryer stuck on. (plus everything else :p)

'Cos it's Euro, you've got less chance of stuff lining up nicely; which means it's likely to cost more than the thing's worth, and thus you'd be cheaper to sell it & buy something else IMHO.

You may be able to fit a newer 1.8 or even 2.2 in there, from a newer Euro Holden, but while it'll be reasonably quick it won't be an absolute screamer ... unless you import a turbo engine from Europe, of course ($$$?).

Ahh ok, so an Astra(1.8) or Vectra(2.2) engine sounds like it would go well, but it'd probably be cheaper ust to get another car, I have always thought about doing that but I have no idea of the cost of it.

So do you know any sites or any places that I can ask how much it would cost to get the X18XE (1.8 litre engine) or the C22SEL (2.2 litre engine) and where to get them from? (with gearboxes from their respective cars)

i have heard of someone apparently putting a calibra turbo engine in to a GSI model barina, supposedly was not to hard to fit but it still ended up costing a lot.
i guess if u really wanted u could try that.
