a friend of mine was telling me about how a 2JZ would fit into a ST185... is this true?

i said it was unlikely and that he was full of Sh*t, the 2JZ is just too big...

any input appreciated

I's be suprised if it did without a lot of modification.

But if you find that it does .. let me know .. :)

:D:D:D tell your mate to give himself an uppercut

there is no way on god's big blue and green marble that a 2JZGTE will fit into a celica GT4 without a full tube frame chassis and the equivalent of the chinese national debt for a build budget.

Oh, and the fact that it's the engine is oriented the wrong way. You'd need flared arches to accomodate the engine.

ROTFL

After spending most of yesterday manhandling a 2JZ-GTE into my Supra's engine bay, this is one of the funniest things I've heard. :) The 2JZ is a bloody big engine... there is simply no way you're going to get a big inline six to fit in an engine bay designed for a transverse four!

If possible you should find a way to prevent your friend from breeding. :)

That Volvo inline 6 ain't exactly small, yet they somehow fit it in an S80.
Those Swedes are, IMHO, nuts though ... bring on Secoh's budget, I say! :)

Nah, too wussy.
How about a Dodge Viper V-10 in a Mini?
(check the old threads here ....)

heheh I remeber that too. I recon the way to go is to just bolt some mini wheels to the V10 sump :D:D:D

and put a fan on the crank for forward speed!

82Corona: They would have a better chance of putting on in a 82 Corona. :D

I'm looking for PhotoShop tell-tales ... :)

Is that car for real? Someone shoe-horned ... what, a Skyline GT-R drivetrain in & matched it to a 2JZ-GTE? The GT4 is east-west innit?

You're as full of sh!t as the guy that reckoned the 2JZ would fit in his Celica. You and I both know all you're doing is waving spanners at it occasionally and it's all just falling into place for you.

Bastard.

The funny thing is, sometimes I don't even have to wave spanners around - people come around and do it for me. LOL! :)
