Hey i am soon purchasing a vl calais and was wondering whether you would be able to a put a vn/vr/vs engine into it, whether it would fit and whether it would be worth doing it.
yes quit a common & easy conversion

definately worth it. would be even better if you could get your hands on a supercharged 6 out of a VS calais/VT S. would make for some smooth cruising with a decent amount of power.
I know that you probably want to stand out of the crowd, but to be honest you're upgrading to a pretty poor motor.
Add up the cost of the engine, the conversion istelf, engineering and insurance.. and you may as well put an imported turbo motor in. The car will be quicker and the conversion will be cheaper.
At the end of the day the V6 isn't that great, and hell, with a few simple mods even the non turbo RB30E will show it the way home.

an RB30 would more than liklely be a better option, you are pretty limited to mods on the V6, unless you supercharge it.
