head unit into BMW E36

My friend wants me to help him put a head unit in to his BMW E36, just wanting to know if anyone has done it before.

Is it easy, tips ?

what radio is in it now?
if its the eurovox item
i can help.
cut the factory radio harness in half.use the car side.
stripe is negative.
white- right front
green left front
blue - rear right
yellow - rear left.
red- +12 key
pink- +12 memory
blk - earth

you will need an antenna adapter as well
european to standard type.
