Hi Guys,
I'm installing an amp in the boot of my EFII XR6 sedan, i've got the amp fully mounted and wired up, the only thing causing a problem is running the power wire from the battery to the amp in the boot. Has anyone got any ideas or suggestions on how to run the power wire through the firewall? It's a manual, so the clutch tube is already in use, are there any other grommets around that could be used, drilling another hole is probably the least favourite option.

Any ideas would be great.

Cheers
Stephen

What kind of wire you using? 8 G or 4G. 8 should be easy, just find the electrics grommet and push it through there. Or use your clutch cable grommet, just push it through the side. :D Or if your desperate, go around the fire wall into the electronics grommet or the door. A mate did that with 4G. it looks crap but it works.

i was helping stephen(krusic) with the job,
we used 8gauge wire for the power, we managed it alright, what we ended up doing was just drilling a hole through the firewall next to the steering rack that leads from the steering wheel inside to the outside(engine bay). we didn't drill through the actual steering plate, but next to it cause we knew where that came from. turned out pretty good, and the results are impressive. not a single centimetre of wiring to be seen anywhere in the entire car, and even the wiring through the engine bay is pretty tidy.

if anyone else is thinking of doing this, give us a yell, we certainly do know how to pull apart the interior of an ef series 2 falcon now!!!
