View Full Version : Racebrakes pads?
I have ordered a set of slotted DBA 909's (R32 GTS-T Front rotors) from Brake Distributors on the gold coast. Instead of going for the $$$ EBC pads, he tells me that he has Racebrakes pads for $160, a set that will handle trackwork, but still stop the car when cold.
has anyone had any experience with these pads? Never heard of the things. He told me they dont make EBC black stuff for R32's but a mate just had a set fitted to his so i dunno about this bloke and what he 'knows'.
ps. dba are good to deal with over the phone.
You were probably quoted on RB74s. They are good road pads that will handle light track work. Very good value for money (just a bit smelly when new :D ).
I was working with Brake Distributors today, but that has nothing to with the advice above. I'm not aware of better pads for that sort of money.
i believe it was the 74's
im not going to buy them if they are going to sign off at all during a track day at qld raceway.
Better start saving for RS14s, DS3000s or something similar then.
heh, i thought it would be too good to be true.
are those things going to stop me if they are cold in an emergency road situation?

accept no substitute as far as cold stop and good track pad until you become Skaife.
go straight to the souce and give Howard down in Melbourne a call... Some Comp 6's should do the trick...

Howard runs Race Brakes in melbourne - www.racebrakes.com.au - and knows all. Comp 6's are one of the compounds made by Race Brakes. Comp 2,3 and 9 etc are others with various friction coefficients and temperature ratings...
number's in the yellow pages... (or website)

Yep, I'd second that. I ran Howards Comp 2's and while they were good, the RS4-2 is significantly better under all conditions.
