brake problem

hi,
the car is an 89 camry sedan. i was driving along and brakes working fine. go around a corner and brakes feel light and not very effective and brake light comes on.. i fill up brake fliud as its a bit low. and brakes now seem to work fine or better than before. however the brake light thing is sitll on..

im just wondering if it takes a bit for the fluid to settle down and to reset the light or something?? or could there be a more serious problem

The indicator light is controlled by a magnet in the float.
Take the float out and give it a clean and then replace it......hopefully it still floats
