Is there a breed of car that has a 75-90mm TB from factory? Preferably one that is not made from unobtainium.
Just off the top of my head, id be looking at big 6's, fords, jags, beemers etc. a v12 jag might yeild something useful too
either that or a fuel injected truck motor would probably be the go for large t/b's

I think EA onwards Falcons are 75mm?
Sounds right to me, but didnt want to be categoric since I wasnt sure. If 75mm isnt enough you could always go 2x 75mm :D

nissan infinity v8 has 85mm throttle body should get one from importers, lots of big hp gtrs in japan use them missed one up here went for 150 bucks.
Look no further than your run of the mill LS1 bommodore..
Falcon throttle body is only 65mm no matter what anyone tells you, they only take a 75mm/3" hose over the outside!!! Nissan has both 80mm(which I have), and 85mm throttle body's, avavilable from Japanese Motorsport or similar importers, mine was $90, but was a traction control type with an extra butterfly, I simply machined this off, and its as good as gold.

yep ls1 has 76mm tb
I think CAPA has 75mm tb on its price list

Thanks guys.
6boost - you saved me a trip to the wreckers. Any idea what Nissan engine family they are off?
Are LS1 TBs available 2nd hand yet? I'd imagine almost all are attached to engines still. New price is prohibitive - at $600odd I could buy a Holley aftermarket up to 105mm.

I'm merely weighing up all my options - Infinity TBs aren't exactly at every wrecker. Saying that I will probably end up getting one.
Wtf does wdf stand for anyway?
Type RZ - 300rwkw. I know an XF TB will do it, but as I have to make an inlet I may as well go larger if I can.
there is a second hand one here, the capa site www.capa.com.au has the tbs up to 90mm for about 600bux.

Try www.alloyrace.com.au as I know they make smaller throttle bodies to order, they might make larger ones for you. Ask for John.
Also try some outboard motor shops at boating places - I've got one at home about 150mm dia! :D

Strewth Bill........ What sort of outboard motor needs a 150mm throttle body ! ! !
Obviously not a little put put that you start with a string.

It's from a three litre two-stroke racing outboard, electric start. From a mate's Forumla One hydro boat.
If you ring a reputable importer, they will know what you are talking about, but nissan infinty is what they are from. The 80mm is from the 4litre, and the 85mm from the 4.5litre, and the traction control and non TC are just different year model engines, hence the difference. The TC ones are cheaper, mine was $90 including freight to queensland from Japanese Motorsport in Adelaide I think, maybe Melbourne, you'll just have to ring around and ask whats available.

i have a 75mm from a 2.5 NA magna on my GSR 2lt engine. freebie, but only $40 to buy.
