Mounted on the firewall (on an R32) and connected to the rear end of the plenum by a short length of small bore vacuum hose.

It is not used by the ECU for engine control, it is only there for the boost guage.

So that's why the GTS4 doesn't have one - it doesn't have a boost gauge (only the torque-split gauge).

does it have a few wires that connect to it , also would you have a ecu pin out for th rb20

there are no wires for the boost gauge, check the back of the plenium, there should be a bolt there with a small pipe comeing out of it, if you cant see the small pipe it could of been broken off of there is a solid bolt threre with no little pipe

for the pin out diagram try www.rb20det.com thats where i got mine from and it works a treet if your wireing the comp up dont conect the earths up as you wiill blow you fuses as all the earthing is done @ the engine some where

The MAP sensor on the firewall has two wires that go through the firewall (with the rest of the loom) to the guage cluster. They go only there and not to the ECU (just in case you were wondering).
