guys,
this was posted on LS1.com.au - please, if you hear anything, please contact the right people

i am lost for words, as this car, has been a highlight of the forums for a longtime.

here is the post....

The Starr Monaro of Matts ( Phantom Menace ) has just been stolen from Perth.

Thieves have gained access to the roof of my premises and moved other vehicles to gain access to the CV8.

Anyone in Perth specifically the Southern Suburbs who has seen any Yellow CV8 after 3am Tues morning Please contact Daniel on 0412770696 or 94520213 or the police .

Breakin happened at 3.20 am in Maddington and the car was sighted in kelmscott later

I attended the site within 5 mins of the alarm being activated but the had already left.

The car is distinctive by its twin 3" exhaust system , Starr performance stickers and chipmaster stickers on the front and rear. Rego Plate RMB960 vic plates

Anyone that hears of any parts etc being for sale please also contact me imediately.

I feel like my gut has been wrenched out at the moment and am sure Matt is suffering similar.

thanks guys...and hope these barstards suffer in hell for this

Any news since this happened??

They new what they were looking for obviously. I hate hearing stuff like this. Escpecially when they car was locked up and they had to move other cars to get to it.

Hope everything works out and keep us posted if they catch the assholes.

Cheers
Emily

There is a substantial reward now on offer provided by donations from the members of the ls1.com.au forum.

The car has been spotted several times in and around Perth, often doing "fuel runs" from garages and then taking off at extremely high speeds. The car has had all the stickers removed and now looks like any other yellow CV8 Monaro apart from the twin exhaust and an awesome rumble from under the bonnet.

It is being driven by several indigenous folk, and as they may be armed please think before approaching them if you see the car.
I'm sure Matty would hate to see anyone injured trying to help retrieve the car from the low life pond scum...

If anyone can provide a location where the vehicle is being kept, or any other info that leads to the successful recovery by the police or the Perth LS1 guys, the reward is there for the taking.

Cheers,
Paul...

They sound like a bunch of amatures. Hopefully they get caught before they write off the car.

Doing fuel runs is a sure way to get busted, as your movements are tracked, and you get lazy each time you do it, thus leading the law back to your home suburb.

I haven';t heard any word on this in over a week. Last thing I heard was that they caught a suspect but that was all.
