i got a autometer fuel pressure gauge tho it only reads to 15psi
i thought the sr20det was like 35psi boost pressure stock? so more or less if i have a boost gauge that only goes to 15psi it is useless for me?

Thanks

I'm a little confused, you have a fuel pressure gauge but are wanting to know about boost pressure... I dont know what fuel pressure it run, but as far as boost i think they are about 0.65bar. I wish they were running 35 pounds :D Lag, lag, lag, BOOM!!!!

yeah that gauge is meant for a carby car, so useless on the fuel system of an efi motor

I second what Impakt said, my fuel pressure guage reads to 80psi - The EFI ones from autometer read to 100psi from memory. If you hook that carby one up you will root it.

mmmm running a fuel pressure gauge isnt going to alter anything just give an incorrect reading if its not the correct product for the job intended... Stock boost on an S13-S15 (well , the ones ive seen) have been .4 Bar (6psi.)

before you get a gauge you need to know what you are trying to do, are you trying to measure fuel pressure or boost pressure? Believe it or not they are different. SR runs around 10psi stock boost level, that is the pressure of the air flowing thru the engines intake manifold, into the combustion chamber and out the exhuast manifold. Fuel pressure however is around 30 psi at idle and is the pressure of the fuel flowing through the fuel lines which go to the injectors and then into the pressure reg and returns to the fuel tank? And Dorfito is right the gauge reads PSI doesn't matter what you are measuring you just need to get the right scale.

vauge "runs -around- 10psi"
