G'day people just a quick question,

Im changing the rotors, pads and fluid on my s14 200sx for the first time by myself so I just want a quick head's up if there are any interesting little quirks in the whole procedure. If I recall correctly the rear pots have to be rotated clockwise to be put back in not pushed? Is that right? Any other things besides that I need to look out for?

Any advice would be groovy.

Cheers,

Loosen the bleeder so when the pistons go back the fluid doesn't get pushed back into the master cylinder thru the ABS
For the rear yes the pistons wind back on a spindle. So you need to wind them or you can damage the drives. Fronts are just a push back.
When you do the rears you need to wind the piston in or out so you can just fit it back over the disc before you bleed or refit the handbrake lever (if you disconnected it)
Hydraulics won't take up the adjustment. You have to do it manually with the piston clearance. If you don't you'll have a lowish pedal and the handbrake won't work. The drive pin can also become dislodged and makes the caliper work in reverse !!
