I need a picture urgently of the vacuum line's especially on the back of the inlet manifold and head of a CA18DET, car is running really roughly till the vacuum goes. The area im talking bout is from where there is a rubber water line for turbo cooling. there is a few vacuum connectors there and dont know which plug into which.
Thanks
Matt

matt,
wish i could help you but ive been chasing this sort of info for ages as the nissan manual does not explain the full schematic of these vacuum lines... to make things harder all the cars ive looked at are autos which run extra lines..
and.. i ended up with two manual engines... one had four lines running between the intake runners to the vacuum tank..the other only had three...
as far as ive worked out...
the one from the intake plenum runs to the fuel pressure regulator... this line has a t in it which runs to the vacuum tank.
two lines return from the tank...one goes to the power valve and the other runs behind the head over to the turbo and pressure regulator valve... cant help with a pic as mines not running and they arent connected.. hope this helped somehow

Haha Tim, just trying to get it running right, i can't work it out, i gotta slight miss everyso offten upto bout 3000rpm, i think it has to be a vacuum line cuz i found one just dangalling around and once it makes boost its fine, its also running really rich down low but it aint the air flow meter.
yeah mate, im at the zcar nats for sure!!!
