Damn, you think with a reward like that, they could afford insurance. Ill keep my eyes peeled, im In fairfield everyday.
No doubt, its already been stripped tho

It might not be the fact that insurance is expensive, but the fact that no one will insure it, full stop!
It's a race car; it probably can't be insured.
I wish you all the luck in finding it; it proves the absolute stupidity of the vegetables that steal cars that they'd still be driving around in something so bleeding obvious.

Ouch... no wonder they outran the fuzz
Eyes are peeled - hope you get the scumbags
Far out, can't help but say even the Rex traffic cops wouldn't have had a chance in hell against this beast. Hopefully it hasn't been stripped and sent to South America already =(. That's the funny thing about race cars; people don't anticipate them being stolen and so they have no security system at all, and are often left on the back of a truck which is even easier to steal! Hope recovery is made.
I would be patrolling Guildford, and Yennora, plenty of body shops there and i guarantee some of them are crooked.
One day on the way home from work i saw one emptying a container full of skylines. Prolly (semi) legit but buying damaged skylines, repairing and selling them has to say something about the ppl/businesses involved.

the car isnt insured? i saw a lancer (dunno if it was real evo or not) a week back along arthur street in lidcombe and around some back streets. it looked like it came straight from a pro rally competition, freaking sounded like a rally car aswell. was it the same one?
i'll keep an for your friends car though.
:( good luck getting it back :(

Hmmz,,
they should get them at nite ... :)
if they as dumb as they sound... they'll drive in it
Helicopters and road blocks should work
but if they pro's then they'll just drive 2wards the airport :) hehe
go to cabra and put a 10k bounty on the car..
whoever can deliver it 1st gets 10k...
they'd jump at that..
but i guess they arent to smart... prob come back with mirage's with ralliart stickers on them.. lol
my 10c anywayz

Man, that $10k reward coulda went to installing a Quiktrak GPS system. I know, I know, the benefit of hindsight...
With exotic cars like that, if they are uninsured, its cheaper to pay for the Quicktrack per year than pay for insurance. At least you can have a good chance of getting your car back and personally meeting the assholes who took it! I'll post a message and keep an eye out in the EVO forums for you.

They did a fly by past my work on railway st , easy doing over 120 km/h . Seen them later in the day , when the cops were chasing . they never stood a chance in a v6 commodore . The apprentice seen them on guildford road when he went to get the lunches . LOTS of sideways action . The guy that pinched it knew how to drive it thats for sure . My apprentice said that he was aussie looking . And when i seen them drive past my work the guy driving had a shaved head .
That was last tuesday . Have'nt seen it since . But trust me you can hear it coming . Will keep my eye out though . I would try looking around the panel beaters etc around yennora . Bunch of stupid ****ers in my opinion . How the **** could you sell stolen evo 7 . And who would buy them . Everything is useless to all the riceboys anyway .
they fit same desciption of the guy who stole the R33 from Double bay, aussie with shaved head and pimples

Lidcome is where Ralliart are based, so you would expect there to be a few rally cars driving round that area.

my boss had a gps system on his rs porsche, the thieves still jacked the car and disabled the gps, never got it back
hope you get yours !!
just a quick correction -
Quiktrak / CarWatch is NOT a GPS based system, it does not use satellites to track the vehicle, it utilises a number of towers that are used to work out the position via triangulation.
If the vehicle ventures outside the boundary of these towers - the vehicle can not be tracked by them.
Hense the reason i would use the NRMA drived system, Car POint i htink it is called. It runs off the Telstra Mobile network.....
Any word on this car yet??? be a damn shame to see it go to waste in some theiving ****s hands :(:(
sounds like you almost need to put a padlock on the door and bring the steering wheel with you... (ie bean)
