Hi,

I have just converted my VL Commodore brakes (front) up to VT. Now although the brakes seem better they arn't as good as I thought they would be, after all I have NA 4 wheel discs.
I checked my front discs (slotted DBA) and the drivers side is nice and shiny (covering the whole of the disc) but the passenger isn't as shiny i.e. only slightly shiny... (about an inch from the top of the disc)
I have the 1" master cylinder and V8/Turbo booster, Ferodo Formula pads and I have completly changed the brake fluid and bleed the car properly.
Could it be that the passanger side isn't beeded in just yet?? Seems strange that the drivers side is bedded in yet the passenger isn't??
PLEASE HELP:confused:

How many kilometeres have you done since the swap?
Did you put new calipers on and if they were second hand were they reconditioned?

Hi,

They were second hand but had never been used if that makes sense:) They were taken of the latest commodore for HSV ones. I have done about 100 to 150k's now. I would of said that they are probably not bedded in yet but the drivers disc is nice and shiny...
It's hard to describe what the passenger disc looks like, it's shinhy at the top for about an inch then it goes into a dull look for another inch then there is the mark were the pad doeasn't go.

Sounds like they are not yet bedded.
These pads may take a few hundred kms before bedding to the rotors and everything looks bright and shiny
