Extractors?!?!?!

G'day guys,

Stupid question of the day, Are all extractors stainless steel???

I own a VS V8, thinking of upgrading the whole exhaust system, im after some brands and/or reliable exhaust shops in Sydney, and good extractor, exhaust combos'.....

No.
Only stainless steel extractors are made from stainless steel.

Normal extractors are made from regular mild steel.

Cool, Am i better off with stainless steel, regardless of the price and would they handle the heat better than mild steel..??

stainless steel is more expensive for a reason, its corosion proof and marginally stronger than mild steel.

for your xtra $$$ you get a nice and unique exhaust note.

i doubt there is any performance increase with SS over MD headers/extractors.

Mild steel extractors would handle the heat fine.

Cool, thanks for the advise guys, i think ill go the extra bucks, and piece of mind, ill get the SS extractors
