Yep, it's a girl's bike.

I will add that it's a VERY regretful sale... don't drop it and she'll probably buy it back in 12 months. It is absolutely faultless.
Nah, by then an Edwards will be on the shopping list for $36k.

If I wasn't so interested in poofter bikes, one of these would be at the top of the list, this bike in particular. If you can find a better looked after machine for the money.....I'll eat, ummmm, wellllll.......I'll eat something. :)

Everyone knows the Cookiemonster doesn't have a car and just borrows Oscar's in return for "favours"!
BTW..
The bike does have the optional Aprilia race pipe, you gotta hear this thing to really appreciate it.
Suits a tall rider.

Better stop looking at 800s then.
Hmmm, just got my open licence too........
Nah minister for fun and finance would never pass it
We could probably arrange for the minister to be taken for a test ride, that might change her mind.

...or launch her over the handle bars.
Would you recommend this as a learner bike?

I would. There are few other bikes who are going to pull a pimply faced 17 y/o more roots than the Mille. :D
80DGY,
Yes, this is the perfect learner's bike.
CRX,
I'll tell the owner to include that in her Trading-Post ad.

I want a cut.
I take it she's selling because she was sick of the aforementioned oh-pimpled ones hitting on her?
I doubt selling the bike will help her with that problem, she just wants the cash for other things right now.
So no-one is interested in buying one of the sexiest bikes on the planet?
Get in quick.. will be in Thursday's Trading Post and probably sold by the end of the weekend.
The bloody rocket scientists at the Trading Post put it in the car section!
It will be readvertised for $16900, hopefully in the bike section this time.
I think crx2gen is the only person in Australia who knows what a Mille is.
The price is now $16500. That's over $2k cheaper than any other Mille on the market .. and this one is perfect but not a single person has even been to look at it!
If anyone knows what the bike is and wants to buy it, no reasonable offer will be declined.

Has she thought about consignment etc also? Some places can be reasonable and let you put it on display and you give them a percentage (I was quoted 10%) when it sells, without having to sign any bullshit contracts. It might sound high, but ask what the usual price is and come out still ahead.
And I'd consider making you an offer, but I've got to sell the RS250 first, and I actually would probably prefer to test ride one locally, funnily enough. In any case, I'd throw it on consignment somewhere who isn't going to backstab her over the contract and then keep advertising it in the paper/trading post, and refer them to the shop where it is kept, but also inform prospective buyers that for them, today only, you'll knock a couple of grand off if the transaction can be completed privately.
Better luck this round in any case.
Thanks dude,
I'd already suggested consignment and the dealer down here has offered to take it. Although she's selling it, she still won't turn her back on the bike and leave it with anyone. Just doesn't want people going for joy rides or dealers taking it home after work.
I'm sure the price of an airfare would be refunded to an out of town purchaser. Go on, sell the 250 .. you won't find a better value Mille anywhere.

:D Probably Not. And I fly for free...but I digress. Don't do this to me!
Don't do this to you? You're right of course.
Every time you opened the throttle and heard the fantastic V-Twin sound, looked at that swing arm or had everyone in town drooling whether they ride or not ..
You'd miss the 250.
NOT!
Better call the bank right now ;-)

man. mille's are awesome. although i cant believe you just recommended a learner rider to jump on a mille. The mille has never been amoung good learner bikes lists, usually reserved for GPZ's, ZZR's, accross's and on a bad day CBR's.
on another note, for a learner who has riding experience... these things are awesome. lots of torque.. off tap power, as someone said.. you want to pull more roots tham jims garden? get ya hands on one of these.. and one this cheap is nothing short of drool-worthy.. i soo have to get my riders licence.

You have riding experience huh? Awesome. Too bad you haven't mastered the art of detecting sarcasm ;)
By the way coyote, I'm totally out. 80DGY is now the sales whore at Ducati Townsville so I'm going to do the whole "cheaper for cash bro?" routine for a while :D
hey, I resemble that remark! :D
17k is cheap for a Mille too :o
I might have to give you a ring soon coyote about this bike, have a guy who may be interested
