I was driving down the M1 the other night and some guy on a bike insisted on taking up an entire lane when there was a perfectly good shoulder and even a nice wide concrete drain beside that. So now I'm wondering how to remove the tyre rubber marks from my front bumper.

The bumper is chrome and has a vertical big rubber smear just off to the right hand side of centre and i've tried just scrubbing at it with car polish but I can't seem to remove it. I tried some bug and tar remover but the rubber is quite thick, so while I *think* it is working I'm kind of looking for something quicker.

Do you think something like thinners or kero would be likely to strip the rubber off? Is the chrome underneath the rubber likely to have been damaged? nah, just kidding, congratulations to the bike guys on their own section, thought I should be the first to have a quick troll

The trick is to leave it there and continue the black rubber mark over the car and down the back like a racing stripe. I suggest finding another motorcyclist with the same tread pattern and hitting him/her hard enough that your car drives under it for the said effect.

This process can be used on the other side of the car to keep things symmetrical.
