Hey my car came with this and i dont know how to use it. Firstly I want to lock my boost at 9psi.

Can anyone give me a run down on its functions. It looks pretty basic with just 2 buttons. Thanks.

I had one of these i think the same model....I hope its the same one otherwise i'm not helping at all lol

Mine had two buttons, that when you press either button it pops out and you can rotate the knob and then press it back in too lock the boost.....clockwise to "up boost" & Counter clockwise to "decrease boost"

The only way to see what boost your running is too set the knob and then look on ur boost guage to see how much boost is running and then adjust accordinly...

Left button is for low boost and right is for high and there should be a little button to switch between high and low

Vrmpsh, I have one but I'm too lazy to explain.

Do a search, it has been covered a number of times.

be careful! (guess that goes without saying)

I recently downloaded and printed out a pdf with tuning instructions - I think I googled for it. Sorry, don't have the url or the pdf any more - but something similar shouldn't be hard to find (it was a blitz document).

btw - you don't want to lock the boost at 9psi - that would be below factory specs.

the american fds run a 10-8-10 pattern - I've never been able to verify it, but I believe the jdm fds may be the same. But... the handful of owners I've discussed it with, do have the same 12-10-12 pattern that I have.

You’re thinking of the single solenoid tight ass model. The dual has 4 boost settings. From memory you set wastegate creep setting (global setting) and duty cycle (called ratio), local per boost settings. There is a web site out there that explains how to set it up with pretty pictures,

http://www.240sx.org/faq/articles/blitz-dsbc_install.htm

There we go.

There an absolutely awesome boost controller for small quick response turbos.

That article doesn't say much.

To change boost setting (RATIO):
Rotate the left knob to work out which setting (1-2-3-4) you want to play with. Press the right knob and the selected number will start to flash. Press the left knob to get to the ratio setting. Rotate the right knob to increase/decrease the ratio. Once you are happy with the ratio, press the left knob again. The number will stop flashing.

Press the left knob until the realtime boost reading comes back on screen.

To see the peak boost: Press the left knob until PEAK shows up. Press the right knob to clear the PEAK value.

Press the left knob until the realtime boost reading comes back on screen.

To change the GAIN: This value controls how hard the turbo comes on. To adjust this, press and hold the right knob, 1-2-3-4 will all flash. From there i think you just rotate the right knob to increase/decrease this value. The higher the value, the harder the turbo will come on, which means the ratio needs to be lower for the same amount of boost.

To change the WARN setting: This sets the boost level at which the boost controller screen turns red and beeps. Rotate the left knob until the screen turns red. Rotate the right knob to set the WARN level. Rotate the left knob again to go back to your chosen setting.

To set the 'scramble mode': No idea, never used it. Never had a need to use it either. It is used to set the RATIO + or - the preset level for a given amount of time, in seconds, once the PEAK value is reached. There are 2 letters, P and C, one for ratio change, one for time. Don't know which is which, so find out more information on how it's used before you go ahead and play with it. I take no responsibility for anything the controller may do to your car. Im writing this from the top of my head.

I'm pretty sure i wrote it correctly, i may have gotten the left and right button features mixed up.

Yeah that sounds right impakt. Been a long time since I used one.

the harder the turbo will come on or boost response. It sets how fast the boost builds up...too fast and you get spikes, overboosting = warning comes on way below your desired rpm range...too often too much, dead turbo.

Scramble...can be set to OTB or just prohibiting the boost to continue raising over a pre-determined time once you have reached warning, which is what I've set mine to.

The gain setting is dependent on turbo size, bearing, and what wastegate is in use. From memory it was 5 for twin turbos like rx7 s6, and about 10-15 for silvias/200sx type turbo setup. I remember I had my one set to 18 gain.

if it is the spec-s get rid of it - not supposed to be used with a twin/sequential setup
