What happened to the second practice session? Only the first and third have results.
Some of my pics are in this thread

I think the 2nd/3rd sessions are combined times. It was a 1hr session cut into 2 sessions. One of which was nominated co-drivers only.

I also have a 2m:42s video showing the car afterwards and the pit crew trying to fix it if anyone can host it?
thanks maadmike, i wanted to see it again but after i heard billy wood apoligising for the "disturbing footage" i knew i would have to look her.

Things like that usually have no effect on me, but this made me feel quite crook.
Thanks, dude... Bugger.

Did anyone hear Morris's comments about Gurr?
"his career is finished. I'll wait to hear his excuse - if he has one"
Poor guy is only 22 and trying to get a start in the taxis too.

Is it just me or is Jason Bright a complete tool?
I heard it, which prompted me to post as above. He's a wanker. The kid runs a fraction wide onto the marbles and his career is over. What a fuckstick. I guess the careers of the rest of the drivers that had a lose are over as well

I thought it was ironic given that Morris's Dad has always paid the bills to get his son a drive anywhere/competition he wanted. Pity the fact that a young kid comes along and tries to get somewhere on talent!
Paul Morris is a poof. He must have the record for most at fault crashes in ATCC history, how can he talk?

I said Jason Bright in my initial post....meant Paul Morris.
I wouldn't be the first in saying that Paul Morris isn't the most talented driver out there. His sponsors (other than daddy) would be absolutely stoked with his dismal display of attitude, who's career is over?

What did paul morris do? must of missed that bit. I reckon that Kim whatsit from Ozemail is going to cop a fine of some sorts after his little speech.

Or the temp Scottish bloke after seeing the replay of his flip for the first time.
Commentators went dead quiet after that...dick.

His co-driver Allan Gurr got a bit wide up the top of the mountain somewhere and onto the marbles. He crossed it up, spun and backed it into a wall. Commentators spoke to Morris and among other things he said:
"his career is finished. I'll wait to hear his excuse - if he has one"
Gurr is 22 and because of said mistake, Morris thinks the kid's career is over. As such, we think Morris is a wanker :)
At least Kim Jones spoke his mind. What he says is correct, the stewards seem to have different rules for every incident that occurs. You'd find that a similar incident would have incurred a stop/go in a race earlier in the season.

What a git, yeah the scottish guy got pretty pissed when they went to the overhead view of platos car, rabbiting on about it for a bit.

I don't blame him. Plato was waaaay too close to the racing line, he should have been hugging the white line on the left side of the track
Morris = tool
When Morris made those comments, and me not knowing who Gurr was, I was expecting to see that Gurr was 40 or 50yrs old & probably past his prime as a driver, when I find out Gurr is a 22 yr old.......... you think typical Morris. Would he still have a drive if we applied the same standards to his driving when he was 22???

Heh. I know a guy who owns a shrike formula brabham; the car finished its competitive life after a Mr P. Morris Esq had a minor bingle. Pot... Kettle... Black...
I'm also one of the many people that think Morris is a dick for saying what he did, no need at all for it.
When I was racing karts Morris was there practicing or attempting to setup a mates kart that was in the same class as me. Sure Morris is a fat bastard and the kart was pretty slow, but I was able to pass him. He tried his bloody hardest not to let me past, and I think it was the hardest I have ever tried to get past someone, but why they hell wouldn't you when the person was the current Super Touring Champion!! :)
Ahh....I love the fact that I can say I beat Paul Morris!! ;)
Kev
whats really wierd about the kangaroo thing, is all the people who have come out and said how they feel shocked, and sick by the vision of the roo getting hit, and im like, "whats the problem?"
I feel absolutely nothing towards that at all...am i wierd? or is it coz ive seen so many roos hit by trucks, and 4wd's on the highways and hit several myself ?
*chuckle*
RIP BIG RED

whoopee for you
do you want a medal or what?
I must admit I was surprised, but then the deer in germany that was shredded by the F1 car about 10 years ago (?) was more dramatic and stopped practice for the austrian GP.
Don't know if it (roo being hit) deserves the attention it is getting
Going back to Morris... Didn't Longhurst punch the shit outta him through the window of the same sponsered BMW 3??? They had a coming together on the straight away part of the track at Phillip Island if memory serves me well...
Longhurst was a bit of a dick for punching Morris in the head (whilst was still wearing a helmet), but I dont think Morris lost his drive... And Longhurst appoligized later Nationally for it...
Morris is just a never will be, that now owns a team and feels he needs to give 'it' back to everyone else for how he was/is treated...
Further more, I have spoken to a part owner of that car today (moved his 65 GT FastBack Mustang) and told me the cause for the accident was a "Watts Link" failure...
Morris the Moron...
Towie,
Part owner of Morris' car you mean?
I thought that his dad Terry owned the team lock stock and barrel - given the Sirromet Wins sponsorship all over the car (T E Morris spelt backwards! :) )
Edit: I'm not sure on the Watts Linkage failueure excuse either. The car was tracking normally and didn't appear to have any lateral movement of the rea axle whhich you usually see. Unless it wasn't a complete break, and was only enough to cause Alan to shift offline and into the marbles. Of course, after the wall was clouted, it's hard to figure if the break happened before or after....
Hmmmm...
You know when your talking to someone about something like, Paul Morris' dickhead statement after the crash, then the conversation moves to a different person all together and you didn't catch it... The topic is still "crash" but have'nt noticed were talking about someone else...
Well, thats what happened...
It's this car that the 'Watts' went in...

Yes, I'm a Moron too...
Sorry to dig up an older thread, does anyone know where I can download a clip of the HRT car vs SS Commodore vs A9X race they did?
