Well he did say some quite nice, but honest, things about Pizzonia at the bottom.
I haven't been to Atlasf1 forums yet but they will be slaughtering him for this :(

I don't think it was the smartest of things to do. I'll always back Webb's no matter what, I just hope he still has both feat planted on the ground...

But if what he is saying is the truth - i.e. equal equipment and treatment in the team, why shouldn't he defend Jaguar? He likes to feel involved with the team, he visits the factory and gets to know everyone. It's not a driver & team situation, it's a complete team situation. For Pizzonia to blast Jaguar long after the fact, claiming unfair treatment and inferior equipment is deplorable. Pizzonia may be fast in a Williams, but that just means he can drive ONE car well, change the conditions and he falls to pieces.....he couldn't handle the fact that the Jaguar R4 was not a Williams FW25. So he then starts raving about unfair treatment and how Webber always got the best bits etc......it's rubbishing the guys who slogged their guts out to prepare and setup HIS car for HIM. I hope he doesn't try and blame the Williams team for his poor race performances in 2005....

I think he could of done it/worded it better.

Thw whole Webber image is straight cut, no crap and lets get down to work, for him, its out of character to get into a bitching match. Some of the things he said, might of been better suited to a closed door office meeting with Frank.

IMHO

yeah, but you can always trust the media to paint an unbiased picture and keep things in context....

some of the f1 drivers bitch too much.. If they spent as much time thinking about why they are losing instead of bitching about it, they might get somewhere

if you subsititued "loser" for "idiot" or "he needs his head read" it may have come accross better. He wasn't callig him a loser in the true sense of the word - it was being used in an Aussie kind of way, but that will be his down fall.

Try calling anyone a "silly bugger" in any other country but ours :D

people have been killed for less in italy :p

Good on Webber for his no bullshit attitude.

Alan Jones had a similar attitude back in the day, and it did him no harm. Didn't he nearly punch Niki Lauda once?

He is 100% correct in everything he said but yeah didnt expect him to be so blunt he is usually so diplomatic.

Apparently his comments were originally recorded in English, then translated for the newspaper, and have since been translated *back* into English......methinks there might have been a little literary licence taken.

Regardless, Webber will blitz PizzaBoy in '05 and relegate him to a test-role again ;)

You're right about testing not meaning much. For all we know one car could have been set up for long distance/high down force/different compound etc etc.

Never read anything into testing times.
