View Full Version : NSW Improved Prod. at Eastern Creek 24/25th
Hey guys...... for all those in Sydney, the last state round of the year is on this weekend at Eastern Creek. I'll be taking the Sunny out for a run, if you're in the area be sure to pop in and say g'day.
Saturday is usually free entry, Sunday is normally $15
Hope to see you out there.
Mark
Good luck Mark, seeya out there mate... :)

Go the sunny!!
good luck mate!
Best of luck Mark. I'll see if I can get out there on Sunday (shooting a drift day on Saturday), but free weekends are starting to run a bit thin on the ground (my next completely free weekend isn't til 22/23 October!). Hope the Sunny runs some quick ones...
Good luck Mark, seeya out there mate... :)
When does the Fat-mobile come out to play again?
It doesn't. That FatMan has his eye on an expensive boat and if he buys it he'll be lucky to do a couple of rounds next year... ;)
Day/Nighter is a remote chance but don't hold your breath !!
Should be out there, in the pits, swanning about near the Sunny. Rowds was talking about popping in on Saturday for a short while...
Good to hear the Sunny is making it's debut Datman, good luck. If you need anything, I think I'm in garage 41 or thereabouts. Production Sports scored Race position 1 for the weekend so we are up at 9am and 1pm both days. Theres over 30 entered with plenty in the lower classes to annoy me. I am 1 point behind 3rd place in Class C - I want my podium!! :)
Good Luck CT.....push hard, you'll get there!
We are in Garage #3 for the weekend, looking forward to getting out there again....it's been a while!

Datman, have a good one man... wish I could make it, but I'm trading off competing on sunday at Ansell Park for not making it out go to OP on the Saturday...
I am sure fro will regale me with tales tall and/or true however! :)
Cheers
Rowds
Well Hopefully he will embelish the stories...I am hoping for an uneventful weekend. If the car runs reliably all weekend and is somewhat competitive I'll be happy!

I'll be out there.
I'm hoping Pye takes out the leaders of the Prod Sports and my boss keeps it together this time.... yes I know its a long shot :D
Marks car looked great out on the track and seemed to be travelling along quite nicely. He was being a pussy heading into turn one at first but started going deeper and deeper - well done mate !! :D
Thanks mate......it's been three years since I have driven at Eastern creek, So I was being a big girlie man earlier in the day. That said, the first session I was roading some new tyres, so was slow everywhere......I did a staggering 2:07 lap in the first session!
The day got better from there, but not as quick as I would like.....still got plenty of room for improvement.....hopefully we can have a fairly trouble free weekend, and bring the car home in one piece.

Looked like you were making good progress there on Sunday morning in what looked to be round about 10-12th(?)!
My boss had a bit of luck and came 4th and then 2nd in final the Prod Sports race after throwing 2nd away in the first. Breakthrough result!

How did the datto 1600 of Rob Mills and the VH Commodore of Tony Floriani from Vic go against the NSW IPRA guys??

Who had the accident???
What happened, everyone ok???
I think Rob Mills finished 3rd in unders and Tony was right up there in overs...top 5 maybe?
I had a good weekend, went faster everytime we hit the track, so i can't complain. Quickest time we ended up with was a 1:52.26, and we finished 16th in the trophy race. Heaps of time/potential in both the caqr and driver (well maybe so much potential in the driver) so now we pull the car apart and get started on the list of mods that we need to do to make her faster.
Big thanks to fro for coming out and getting stuck in over the weekend. You did an awesome job dude, and my weekend much easier and more enjoyable...thanks heaps mate.
Mark.
Well done Mark, i hope that's the first of many successful weekends mate... ;)
Thanks Paul.......We learnt heaps about the car, so now the real development begins.......as soon as we win Lotto. ;)
Well done Mark, congrats on a successful start to the Sunny campaign.
Good stuff Mark. Geez, I wish I could get within 5s of that laptime - maybe some new snazzy rims will help :D
Hey Nafe..... I may know a guy that can help you there....hell of a nice guy ;)
Thanks guys..... The scarey part is the list of new bits I want to fit over the next 5-6 months!

Are you referring to the one in Prod Sports? Unfortunately one of the Cup cars hit the inside wall. The shell is stuffed and the repair bill will be around $120,000. Its a real shame as the owner is a really nice guy who was going to sell it after this round. :(
One of the guys in U2L IPRA hit the wall hard in a Gazelle....... it looked like a writeoff from a distance.... hope he was ok.

hey Mark,
glad to see you had a good weekend! I guess fro was only help when he arrived from his misadventures!! ;)...
I hear some front end bump travel wouldn't go astray! ;)
Rowds
Your right there.......I think a formula car would have more travel than my thing at the moment..... but we have a plan ;)
Driver is all good. Not sure what he will do now, car is awaiting its fate
that's good to hear...looked like a big shunt.

The Porka or the Gazelle ??

Ouch - that's gotta hurt the hip pocket as well as the pride !!
I do believe that Baby Jesus is crying right now...... :(
Where the fuck did he go off?
Rowdy... see above for photo of GT3 mentioned when on telephone... you know, the one where I went "Hmm, that's fux0red".

I know the owner of that car really well. It was his last race meeting before selling it. The shell is rooted and the cost of a reshell is about $120,000. I'll see if I can post up the pictures I took tonight.
hmmm $120k? If you you dont know what you are on about save yourself the effort of typing please

yeah, 'sif. GT3 shells are a dime a dozen, pick one up at autobahn for $29.95
that's one majorly rooted GT3, is it in the process of having an engine fire too?

They're actually the same as a Carrera 2 chassis, but you can't really claim something is a genuine Cup car if its basically a rebuilt Carrera 2 with some Cup add-ons.
