I got bored last night and chucked a few of the old clips together :)
Enjoy

Riders in it are from, QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and NZ :)
Never been a fan of stunting. I can't understand why you'd want to bin a perfectly good bike. But each to their own I guess.
BTW some of those guys have massive rear sprockets and still no throttle control!?! And where's their gear (jacket, leathers etc)? :knock:

You can't understand why we stunt.... and we can't understand why someone would buy a perfectly good bike and ride it like a homo... ;)
I spose you think guys who buy MX bikes are idiots for getting dirt on them too. Each to their own I guess.
ps: Stunting has it's financial benefits too... Your front tyres last alot longer, but you wouldn't understand that.

Oh, forgot to mention also. Big sprockets don't help with throttle control champ. Big sprockets are used to increase the low end torque for lower speed wheelies. And just to get technical, someone who knows how to wheelie properly knows how to use the rear brake rather than the throttle to control it. I've confortably been from the old tool gates, through the Hysen Tunnel and all the way to the Crafers exit on the back wheel... how far can you go :D

Hey, I ain't bagging stunting, only the so-called stunters who suck and bin their bikes. Those who do it good, do it very good. But there are too many wannabes binning it and wrecking perfectly good bikes. And hence they have no respect for their machines. I've got my own collection of 'Judgement Day'-type DVDs at home, so I like to see a "good" stunt (which only 5% of the DVD has), but there are fuck all people who can do a "good" stunt.
As far as your comment on those with a perfectly good bike being homo ... you're now attacking 90% of riders on the road?!? I drag race and track race all my machines, so I ain't soft on my rides. But I have total respect for my bikes and keep them in top condition, and do not bin it! I'm sorry but the homos are the wannabe-stunters who bin their bikes while not wearing full gear :gay:
Stunters can stunt, just don't do it on the street. Or at least resepct your machines.

Why thankyou. I myself wear protective gear everytime I ride and have dropped my bike less times than I could count on one hand since being a paid stunt rider.
As far as the comment about trashing the bikes goes, that's the ridiculous part. You build a bike for a purpose. All of the stunt bikes I maintain are in perfect working order and are thouroughly cleaned and serviced after we do a show. So your bagging our bikes out is like bagging drifters and burnout competitiors of for trashing a perfectly good car.
Oh... and just so you know. A stunt bike is a stunt bike. Here is my regularly ridden road bike. Looks pretty clean to me :)

BTW, nice riding yesterday mate. Crowd sure loved it!

Cheers mate, if you've got some photos I'd love to see them. :D

Think what you like ... as I said above, I'm not bagging the pros who do it well, only the other 95% who try it on the street and bin their bikes. If you still think I'm bagging you then you're putting yourself in that 95% I'm talking about. :rotflol:
Drags, track days, knee dragging in the hills, Friday and Saturday night hang outs are my thing. Oh, and my bike is spotless too and kept in top shape at all times :yup:

I'd like to have seen that! :worship:
tlr2nv - I think I've seen your bike around before. I'll probably see more of it in Summer. I live near the bay so I'm down there in Summer a fair bit. Normally start off hills rides from there.
I think the 'homos' that RotaUte is referring to are those that buy a perfectly good sportsbike then just do the 'city to bay fun run' (only those in SA or who know SA will know what I mean). I've found quite a few riders in Adelaide either never go to the hills or if they do couldn't turn a corner to save their lives!
I love doing the Strath run myself and love cornering - corner speed is where it's at!
I ride a Red/Black CBR954RR. I'll keep a look out for ya!
Edit - in fact, if you know Wendy then I've probably met you before anyway!

Yeah I know Wendy, although I don't ride with her much now.
I think the issue is not 'how' you get from A to B when riding but where A and B is. I feel for those who buy a new bike and don't feel up to speed yet, or are feeling the pinch from their insurer (could be any number of reasons), or are hanging by few demerit points on their licence. They may still take long rides to Strath etc, but because they don't drag their knee, doesn't mean they're "homo". Those who have new bikes, but only ride short distances for fear of ticking over too many kms, and only frequency the popular (heavily populated) spots are the "homos"
I've told other riders I know that I'm trailering my TLR to the show'n'shine at the MotoGP, and they got stuck into the name calling because they assume I wussed out of riding the long distance. Well, I've ridden to PI and back 3 times for the races (last year being the more recent). This year I have 2 passengers to take, and an Aprilia track bike to pick up ont he way back thru Melbourne ... so I hardly think I'm wussing out. And the slagging is coming from riders who've never been as far as the suburbs :gay:
I love long rides through the hills. Incidentally, took the Tiller for a blast through Eagle last weekend and almost lost the front  My front Pilot is wearing out on the righthand side (damn). Time for a new one ... at least when I get back from the MotoGP.

I used to love Bull Creek Rd. That was back when I had my shiny new 98 GSXR750. Seems like eons ago now.
Sydney roads are good, but not as good as the Adelaide ones

Seconded! :p
The Bull Creek run is great! Going that way to Strath (through Clarendon etc), then back through Macclesfield, Aldgate etc = teh fun!
Yeah I have met you once then TLR - well I at least know your bike anyway! :D
Ah the good old Eagle. Was much better before they farked up the uphill run (making it 1 lane), but downhill run is still good! :yup:
Back from MotoGP and itching for a ride thru the hills.
I'm taking the Aprilia RS250 to the track this Sunday ... that should help with the "gotta fucking ride" itch :)

I went for a ride with Damo (TL1000R) and a few other mates up Norton Summit then back through the Eagle straight after moto GP. It HAD to be done! Perfect weather too! :D
I agree with comparing stunting and drifting...Both of them make no sense to me, but they're fun and entertaining to watch briefly. Funniest thing I've seen was one of the Joe's Garage Stunt Team guys down here...They had their L300 Van/cut down into a ute at a car show, with the bikes in the back. As they were leaving one of the guys jumped on the bike (TLR1000 I think), fired it up, and did a revlimiter banging burnout in the back of the ute as the drove a couple of blocks at about 10kmh...It was awesome!
Do any "stunters" ride nekkid bikes? like not sportsbikes minus fairings?
We found ZRX1200+Renthal bars+ Kerker system to be an exceptionally capable wheelie machine (our shop demo ZRX was doing wheelies up and down the driveway as soon as it had oil and coolant in it :D ) and pretty reasonable for stoppies, burnouts and suchlike...And if you want low end torque, GSX1400...
The bit at the start of the video, with gravel road in the background - is that a Tassie dude? road looks familiar.
Seeing as RotaUte has issues with me, I'd thought I'd share some other issues 'stunters' have with me ... namely the Up On One boys at the MotoGP:
I was supervising turn 4 all weekend at the MotoGP. I'm a Paddock Official/Marshall and me and my team control the paddock, gates 4 and 5, and the return/access road to the 'tunnel'. Basically, what we say goes!
These complete fuckwit stunters turn up at my location on Friday to enter into turn 4 for some stunting. I give the bikes a once over and notice one of them is leaking oil badly from the rocker cover. When this guy pulled up, he acts all concerned getting his stunter mates to inspect the bike. I see this and advise them this bike cannot enter the track at all. They then argue with me swearing it is coolant. Know for those who don't know (obviously the stunters), coolant is not brown/black in colour!
I call in a scrutineer from Race Control and even he says its oil and gives him a no go! Well, stunter gets pissed off and leaves turn 4 to go back to the paddock. He comes out 5 minutes later saying it is repaired. No one repairs an oil leak in 5 minutes, and I smell degreaser all over the engine, so I tell him to 'fuck off' and get Race Control's approval first.
I hear later that they had entered the track from the pits and "yes" said bike leaked oil in the pit area. Said stunter is reprimanded and bike sent away for repairs. For the next 2 days they were scrutineered each and every time they went out on track. Off the track these guys were breaking rules and pushing their luck with officials all weekend.
These pricks were too selfish that all they wanted was to show off, than to consider the risks of leaking oil on a track where riders reach speeds over 300kph.
So if you had to ask, that is why I think stunters are idiots!

Another wonderful gross generalisation.
You'll go far! :)
No ... my professional opinion and observation (along with the agreement of Race Control at the MotoGP). They're idiots!

A professional generalisation perhaps? You do seem to be tarring all stunters with the same brush. You'll find idiots who value their own glory above the safety of others at a race meet in all forms of riding, and indeed in all forms of motorsport.

Saves money on brushes :rotflol:
You obviously have not been to enough motorsport events. Try not being a spectator and work behind the scenes. You'll discover some interesting things.
This was MotoGP ... they were supposed to be pros! But they proved to be bigger idiots than any stunter I've met.
So I should just accept what you're all saying based on the (supposingly nice) stunters I'm yet to meet?
Yeah right! :rotflol:

The first guy I ever met who rode a bike was a real candidate for a vasectomy, the biggest tool. Ever. If I had decided that this guy represented every motorcyclist out there I wouldn't have bought a bike, which I'm glad I did.
Whether or not I work at motorsport events is irrelevant (for the record, I don't, doesn't interest me) but I've met dickheads who ride road and dirt bikes, stunters, high-speed freaks, the lot. And I've met a hell of a lot more of decent people from all sorts of riding.
