Everythings legal until you get caught :) I have a mod plate on the car for the cage, seats & harnesses, it'll just come down to how much the cop knows. The side intrusion bar is actually removable so I can take it out if I get dragged over the pits.

Yeah the STi has been retired from track duties, it was getting a little on the expensive side to continue development and maintain.
