so I picked up a very cheap cam and prawl diff (Jack Knight branding) from a mini. the car it is intended for isn't intended to run for long periods of time
(less than 5 min max )

any idea where I could get some prawls from

yep, easy, jack knight in the UK. They have all of the service parts on the shelf usually. They are good to deal with and the AUD/UKP is also good right now. Deal with them direct and they prob give instructions

I was after a small diff for a rear engined bike engined car, not really for a mini. I spoke to Jack Knight and it's 25 pounds for one prawl.
