howdy, been saving the tax moneyz away for a bit, and ive decided i want a good a/f meter.. i like the edge edge, but theres that many options i dunno which way to go?

im not really going to use it as a permanent install.. ill be shifting it in and out of cars as needed.. so quick and easy hookups will be required. will be tuning carby / injected, na / turbo, petrol / gas 4 /6 /8's etc as needed.

so i was looking at the 3e2/3a2, as id like the datalogging feature. but would i need a duel channel like the 3h1 for tuning V8's or could i get away with a single channel.. admittedly V8's will make up like 2% of things ill be tuning. mainly 4's and 6's.

with the oxy sensors, why is the 6066 so much more expensive than the 7057? i should still be able to get oxy sensors at trade, so should i even bother buying one through tech edge?

and lastly, if i end up going 3a2/3e2, would i really bother having the readout on the box, i was looking at getting the lx1? lcd display and velcro mounting it to dashes for easy readout.

opinions?

cheers, cammo.

I use a TechEdge 2Co.
I didnt see the need to log anthing super special for general tuning work.
I specced mine with the extra long fly lead on the sensor sos to be easily able to run down to a simple tailpipe "sniffer". So fit any vehicle quickly without the need for a threaded manifold bung.
I have a simple cigarette lighter power adapter.

The small LCD display has its own 1 meter + long flylead sos I can plonk it anywhere it needs to be independant of the controller. The digits are big enough and easy to read on the run as well day or night.

I think your sensor has to be calibrated to your controller fairly finely via the funky resistor which is included in the sensor lead.
I cant remember how difficult that is but i believe its crucial to accurate readings.

TechEdge site seems to have all the blurb youll need.
