The coon (BFii XR6T) has a bit of an oil weep which 99.9% is out of a bolt in the side of the stump (right rear, there is another bolt further forward).
Anyone know what this bolt holds?
I'm guessing it has a gasket or oring on it, may just need a tighten
I should be sorted under the agony that is extended warranty, but am curious as to what it holds before anyone touches it.

Main cap side bolt, would be tensioned to a figure and yes should have some type of washer/Oring something to seal it.

cheers, I would imagine the caps should have vertical bolts too, so undoing this to fix seal etc should cause disaster.
Is there Fiche sits for Coons etc like one can find on the web for pretty much any jap car? Makes looking at things like this heaps easy.

You sure the leaks coming from that bolt? Seems to originate from elsewhere to me.
If that is where I think it is and having had the same issue myself are you sure it's not originating from the p/s pump?

hmmm dunno, it didn't seem to be when on the hoist, it's going in on monday to get sorted. If it is that = pita for warranty crap. 2 different workshops seemed to think it was the bolt tho?
The pan gasket on the trans has a small leak too, also getting fixed. What's fucked is they only cover fixing the the problem, ie the gasket. The plastic pans are not reusable with service (built in filter) but they only cover replacing the gasket.
It's obviously acceptable to resuse old filter and oil. Imagine doing an engine bearing, fix the bearing, put old oil back in. WTF ?
