Looking for a Holden 5L (304) engine in or around Canberra (will consider traveling to Sydney, etc).

Looking for an engine to suit rebuilt, heads not important as existing heads will be carried over from 308 engine (due to intake and exhaust system).

PM or reply here.

Thanks
Paul.

Ive got a Holden 5L out of a VT complete with loom and computer. Was pulled from a running car for an LS1 conversion and has done less than 5000km since a rebuild. $1000

I'm in Brisbane but will be at eastern creek from the 4th to the 11th June and can arrange to bring it down.

There's been talk about building a 355, but due to the different heads it then comes back to new exhaust manifold, new intake manifold, 2nd gas mixer (and converter), new intake system, etc. Which is why the option of a newer block with the current heads, etc can carry over.

Glen, thanks for that, I'll have a chat to the guys who need it and let you know.

Grab the VT and put the old heads, manifold and cam on it and sell the heads on

I have another one with a Getrag hanging off the back of it that is less than 10000km since the engine rebuild with computer and loom $1500 I am pretty sure the getrag is missing reverse (has a spacer installed).

Glen, can you send through your mobile number, I just spoke with one of the guys (Michael) that own the car (Nissan Patrol), and he is interested in the first engine.

Thanks
Paul

Thanks go to Glen for bringing the engine down the Sydney.

The manifolds, loom, heads, were stripped off and its sitting ready for parts to be ordered, and machine work to be done. All looks good so far.

Not sure if this is a standard intake manifold or something 'special' - see attached.

The car it was in was a GTP car before we owned it, might have been a cheater special but no idea.

Would most likely have been done to remove the very sharp casting edges in the plenum to runner transition.
