Negros,

Had a new clutch fitted to my RS last Sat.

Purchaed a brand new stock clutch and pressure plate and thrust bearing.

Since the install, the clutch pedal has not returned fully. Engages fine, swaps gears fine, but pedal doesnt return fully. Last 5% of travel needs to be popped back with your foot.

Tonight out in the sticks, decided to give it abit of stick. No launch, just drove off the line at 1500rpm, then stood on it, get into 3rd, and the pedal sank towards the floor. Got off it, came back up again.

Thoughts?

Maybe, how would an clutch swap affect it?

I have farked around with RS Lib clutches back a while ago and if you have this issue then there is a little cup shaped seal in the master cylinder that holds pressure whilst..

oh fark lemans is back on

TJ - In the wagon there was a leak in the line between the master and slave clutch cylinders.
eventually the pedal stuck to the floor.
after they replaced it and bled it etc, it would still need to be popped back up.
after a week of traffic driving, it started to come all the way up properly.

I was also told that bleeding subbie clutches is a little odd.
so I'm guessing there is still air in there.

Al will know

Hmm sounds likely.
