Just wanted to put up a massive recommendation for GSL RallySport.

I got quoted $243ea for little 250x18mm RDA rotors from SuperCrap Auto, Repco were about $120ea for Protec rotors. Both had to order them in.

I called GSL RallySport yesterday afternoon at 3:00pm and they were waiting on my desk when I got into work today.
The price was $65ea for DBA with $8 courier fee!!!!

Just ordered DBA 4000s slotted for the R32, some Remsa pads and TRW GP600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid. I was quoted $99/rotor for the 2000s but seems DBA are out of them at the moment and offered the 4000s at a reduced price (~$160/rotor) so why not upgrade to a better disc.

Thanks guys for the kind words!! Feel free to drop into our new warehouse, Unit 5, 14 Buttonwood Place Willawong (Acacia Rdige) QLD!

But as a lot of have discovered, we have good relationships with all of our major suppliers so most are happy to drop ship from their closest branch. Pretty cool when parts ordered in Perth arrive in under 2 hours, means technically parts got delivered before they were ordered! :p

Depends how plain boring you want to go!

- Horsepower $49 for the set (Cheap trade servicing pad, decent quality for the money actually, with soft shims and relief grooves etc. Cheap, but not nasty. Although I would say that, I'm wearing one of their shirts today :p)
- RDA $35 (As above, but remove 'decent', and insert 'nasty')
- EBC Black $69 (Meh... Kinda like Bendix. Solid, but not great)
- Remsa $89 (Made in Spain, very high end very well made pad, what we supply as a trade servicing pad for high end Euro cars like Porsche, Ferrari etc.)

There's a few more options, but they don't really fit into plain and boring :p

If you're on a budget I'd go Horsepower, if you've got a few dollar to spend and are willing to pay for high end quality, then Remsa at $89 is still a bargain.

Not at all mate, we do HEAPS of VW/Audi/Porsche! I was only saying to a customer half an hour ago that our biggest market (despite what we're called) is actually trade servicing parts for high end Euro cars...

Is yours an S, GTS, or Turbo S (or what HP)? Also what size rims did it come with standard?

Front Rotors
RDA Std $149 each
RDA Slotted $369 for the pair
Rear Rotors
RDA Std $289 per rotor (Fark...)
RDA Slotted $649 for the pair (Double Fark...)

As far as pads go, there's bunch of cheap end options, but if you've got a few weeks up your sleeve, I'd probably recommend getting some QFM HPX (Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear) pads custom made, $119 per set front or rear. Or if you're desperate, RDA or EBC... see above comments...

Hey budy,

Yeah can do no dramas at all. 1970 is smack bang in the middle of a cross over though, need to know if your total front rotor height (ie. laid down total height, including the bearing hub) is 102mm, or 119mm. All other specs are the same, so unfortunately there's no other way to tell...

Mitsubishi 380 front brake rotors (std and slotted??) and pads that are better than bendix ultimates?
Price as follows mate:
RDA Front Std $75 per rotor
RDA Front Slotted $219 for the pair
or
DBA Street Series Std $135 per rotor
DBA Street Series Slotted $165 per rotor
or
DBA 4000 Series Std $148.50 per rotor
DBA 4000 Series Slotted $198 per rotor

"Better than Bendix Ultimate" is a pretty open ended question, what are you using the car for? Obvious option would be QFM A1RM, which is a Ferodo DS2500 equivalent pad, $179 for the set, and a couple of sets in stock.

Cayenne is a 3.0 turbo diesel. Most sites list it as far as I can see as 330mm rotor and from rough measurements with the wheels still on this seems about right. Came with 17" wheels standard, but mines optioned with factory 18". Has black calipers (most sites use this as the differentiating factor.) OEM rotors from UK around the $120ea mark and Porsche branded $200. slotted ~$380 pr for EBC

911 prices look reasonable compared to importing after factoring in shipping etc, and I'd rather support the locals and have the after sales support. Weird the rear rotors are so disproportionatley spendy. They are similar dollars as the front from what I've seen previously

Cool cool, prices as follows:

Front Rotors
Remsa $159 each
RDA Std $135 each
RDA Slotted $339 for the pair

Rear Rotors
Remsa $135
RDA Std $125 each
RDA Slotted $325 for the pair

Front Pads
Remsa $139 (includes the eletronic wear sensor)

Rear Pads
Remsa $135
Wear Sensor to suit $29 each (2 required)

Remsa (both pad and rotors) are made in Europe, and VERY high quality. Remsa is what we supply to the vast majority of Euro cars that we supply brake parts to. Pads are rated to 650 degrees (versus 550 for something like Bendix Ultimate), but they're still just a normal street pad, work from dead cold, great rotor wear etc. They're rotors are as you'd expect also, very high quality, and along with 4000 series DBA (which aren't available for your car) are our preference for quality. RDA, we all know them, decent quality, we have very virtually no issues with them, but they're made in China...

Also, I've gone against what all the local catalogs say your front pads should be and gone with my instinct on this one being such a new model. If you're able to take a picture of your front calipers and email it through I'll be able to tell straight away. But basically, there's 3 styles of front pads for your car, one has a large single pin going through the pad, the other has 2 smaller pins going through the pad, and the third has no pins going through the pad at all. I'm going with the no pins on your car (where as the world is trying to tell me 1 pin). Let me know if I'm wildly wrong! For reference rears should just have the 1.

911 prices look reasonable compared to importing after factoring in shipping etc, and I'd rather support the locals and have the after sales support. Weird the rear rotors are so disproportionatley spendy. They are similar dollars as the front from what I've seen previously

Hi mate,

Has your particular Legacy got vented or solid rear rotors?

Assuming vented, then 4000 series slotted and cross drilled are $247.50 per rotor, or street street are $165 each.

Pads, I'd go QFM HPX (Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear), $79 per set.

Cheers

No that I know off unfortunately... Hyundai were doing special rims in conjunction with Performance, but obviously only in Excel PCD and offset... Having ran a few of the 13" options back when I ran the excel series, I'd have to say, for both FWD or RWD, the Kumho R800 is my pick. The Dunlop SP85 is a lot softer, and in outright grip may provide a little more, but the blocks move around like crazy, and make it very hard to know what's under you...

gslrallysport

Wow awesome!

How do RDA slotteds compare to DBA Street Series rotors?
the RDA and the Street Series DBA are both just basic rotor, very similar in quality and performance. Only main difference is the DBA has a painted centre hate and outside face, so doesn't rust like the RDA which is a completely bare rotor. The only major step up would be if you went to the 4000 series, which are made in Australia, as well as being a higher carbon content rotor, so they perform better, as well as last longer (which helps bring back some of the initial cost).

And do A1RM's chew into the rotors?
As a street pad, a little. As a mixed track/street pad, not really. If you're not really using the car for track work, and just want a high end street pad, then probably go the QFM HPX, which is a Bendix Ultimate equivalent, but low dust and rotor wear, $119 for the set. Unfortunately, our other perennial favorite of the 15 of so brands of pads we do (Remsa) isn't available to suit 380.

Do you sell any Dot5.1 Fluid too? I keep boiling dot 4 :( (PBR gold, Nulon etc...)
Yep, TRW GP600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid. Good for 312 degrees (or the same as Motul RBF600), and $59 for a 1L bottle. Going up from that would be some proper race spec Project Mu GFour 335, $95 for the 1L bottle, but overkill for any kind of street or weekend car.

Can you give me some prices for front and rear pads on a 1988 AW11 MR2? Also the car has a habit of locking the fronts very easily, apparently the common fix for this is to use different compounds front to rear where the fronts are ~ 25% less effective. Thoughts, pad suggestions?

Main focus is short tarmac hillclimbs, it gets used on the street also but its not a daily. I don't really care if it chews through rotors.

Most NSW tracks aren't long enough to get any real heat going (sub 1km), but I also don't want a pad that will overheat and become useless if I do some laps on a real track.

I've never been a big fan of mixing compounds front and rear when chasing bias issues.... The only two exceptions are VERY light FWDs, or Porsche race races. Even though your MR2 is not dissimilar to a Porsche as far as weight distribution, with Porsche we generally run a less torque rear pad relative to the front... which is the opposite problem you've got!

Typically for AW11 competition or sprint cars we run an A1RM front ($119) with TRW rear ($95). You'll find the TRW will heat up a little quicker, so may assist with your problem, but if it were me, I'd be looking to see if the front brakes lines start at as a single line out of the master, and put a bias reducing valve in there. We've got Wilwood ones in stock for $69.

*** Today Only Special!! ***

As we did many weeks ago now, we're having a random (we decided about 10 minutes ago!) happy hour special! Between 12 and 1 today (Sydney/Melb time, or starting in just under an hour!!!), order any full vehicle set of front and rear slotted rotors from any brand (RDA, DBA, Project Mu etc.) between 12 and 1 today, over the phone, with credit card, and we'll throw in a full vehicle set of matching pads, in either QFM HPX, or Remsa!

To order, give us a bell on 1300 884 836!

As per last time we did this offer, we'll honor these questions:
Q: Can you include A1RM pads in this offer?
A: Meet us half way, add $75 to the total order, and we'll do A1RM front and rear!

Q: I'm only chasing front rotors and pads, what can you do?
A: If you're only after front rotors and pads, we'll do free shipping!

This also includes rotors that are already heavily discounted from the DBA Clearance list:
http://www.gslrallysport.com/DBA/GSL%20DBA%20Slotted%20Clearance%20Sale.pdf

After the popularity of this offer last time, we've decided to do it semi-regularly, but instead of surprising people with less than an hour to go (and hard to arrange whilst at work from some people), we're going to give 24 hours notice! But only to people are are fans of GSL RallySport on Facebook:

Ok, so yours is the solid rotor then?

Prices as follow mate:
Front RDA Slotted $165 for the pair
Front DBA Street Series Slotted $130.35 per rotor
Front DBA 4000 Series Slotted $165 per rotor

Pads, I'd go European made Remsa pads, which are rated to 650 degrees (or 100 degrees higher than Bendix Ultimate or QFM HPX), and $95 for the set.

Caliper kits don't do.

Hi mate,

Yep, got 5000 Series Slotted DBA to suit RX8 on special at moment. Available in Blue, Red or Gold hats (or black if you want to paint :p), $429 per rotor (both hat and ring).

4000 Series rear DBA Slotted are also currently on the clearance list, $198 per rotor.

With regards to pads, I'd go Project Mu Club Racer, which are the sister compound to the H16-03 (V8 Supercar control pad), and are $350 for the front, and $325 for the rear.

Any other questions just let me know!

They're acceptable. They're all made in China (as are probably a third of DBA street series), but they generally keep a pretty tight leash on quality control, so we have very few problems with them. They are a completely bare rotor though, so if you're not a fan of surface rust, DBA is the way to go.

Hi Greg,

How much for the following rotors for an FG XR6T sedan:
DBA42107S
DBA4505S

I was thinking Bendix HD pads, what would you recommend? The car sees some hillclimbs once in a while and stop start traffic most days of the week.

I am thinking to go with braided lines too; how much would a set cost?

done that...less squealing now but still does it occasionally...

its weird...it only seems to do it in a particular temperature range, it doesnt do it cold and normal street temps and it doesnt do it after I have been flogging the car through the twisties...only really in the middle of street temps and total flogging does it make noise...looks like ill just have to live with it

Ok, sorry guys, this is probably my bad for not emphasising it enough, but I can't stress this point enough:
"Credit card over the phone only, give us a bell on 1300 884 836!"

On a day like 20%, even with 3 of us answering phones, and 5 incoming lines, people were still getting engaged signals. In other words there's no possible chance of us getting to PM's or emails for quite a long time after. To be perfectly honest we've only just caught up on emails from the sale yesterday. In an average day we get 30-40 sales inquiry emails. Sale day we got 370ish...

I'll honor the 20% price if you posted here or PM'd us on sale day, but please don't get shitty at us because we didn't reply...

Yep, to suit what?

anything for a uzz30 soarer twin turbo ?

What sort of gear were you after, or what are you using the car for?

BFII XR6T rotors and pads per my thread in the brake section?
Has you BF got vented or solid rear rotors. Series 2 had both options depending on what Ford felt like on the day.

Hi Greg,

How much for the following rotors for an FG XR6T sedan:
DBA42107S
DBA4505S
$231 and $148.50 per rotor respectively.

I was thinking Bendix HD pads, what would you recommend? The car sees some hillclimbs once in a while and stop start traffic most days of the week.
I'd go either QFM HPX (Bendix Ultimate equivalent but low dust and rotor wear) $79 per set front or rear. Or if you don't mind trading off dust for a little extra performance, then I'd go Remsa, which are $89 for the front, and $79 for the rear. The later is what we more typically supply for high Euro sports cars like Porsche/Ferrari etc.

I am thinking to go with braided lines too; how much would a set cost?
Unfortunately we can't do braided for Falcons... Just one of those strange things.

Solid rears. How much of a benefit will there be just from fitting better discs and pads (compared to standard stuff)? Is it worth going bigger on the caliper/disc front? Again, just a street car.

gslrallysport
13-02-12, 04:44 PM
There's nothing really fundamentally wrong with the hardware on it (except it uses VB-VS Commodore rear pads :p), large rotors on the front, with large pads, and sufficient rear rotors and pads.

I'd look at slotted rotors (either DBA or RDA) and either Remsa or QFM HPX pads, depending on how dust adverse you are. The former is slightly better performance, but at the expense of a a little dust, whilst the HPX is virtually a dust free pad.

Prices as follows:
RDA Front Slotted $219 for the pair.
RDA Rear Slotted $149 for the pair.
DBA Front 4000 Series Slotted $231 per rotor.
DBA Rear 4000 Series Slotted $148.50 per rotor.
Remsa pads $89 for the front, $79 for the rear.
HPX pads $79 per set front or rear.

322mm on the front is well big enough, there shouldn't be any reason why on a street car you need more than that!

With regards to rotors, the RDA and the Street Series DBA are both just a basic rotor, very similar in quality and performance. RDA are made in China.

Hi Chris,

Sure can mate, quoted up on these for the freight company next to us not long ago.

Rotor options:
- DBA Street Series Front $107.91 each
- DBA Street Series Rear $N/A
- RDA Front $117 each
- RDA Rear $108 each
- Remsa Front $123.75 each
- Remsa Rear $99.83 each

Pad Options:
- Remsa Front $118 for the set
- Remsa Rear $110 for the set

There's a few other pad options (like EBC etc.) but for the money the European made Remsa (rated to 650 degrees) are very hard to go past. With regards to rotors, again, the European made Remsa would be the pick, versus RDA which are made in China. DBA only do the front at this stage. All rear prices are based on it being a solid rear rotor, just check. (Most were, only the 50 series got the vented as far as I know).

Any other questions just let us know!

Hi Greg,

I'm after a set of rear rotors and A1RM's to suit an AE112 Corolla. Also, what do you have on offer to suit Wilwood Dynalite calipers with Pad Type 7112?

Greg, what have you got in the way of extreme high-temp pads to suit a GTIR pulsar (AD22VF caliper)? I melted the last pair of QFM A1RM's I got from you within a few laps of winton, they were completely trashed. Someone recommended the Ferodo DS3000 - what have you got that will handle extreme heat? The rotor is quite small unfortunately and it doesn't cope well stopping a car with 350hp/ton!

Just wanted to give this Supplier another shout out!

Greg and his team have fantastic product and service,

My Cayenne needed new brakes at its last service and whilst it was on the hoist at Porsche Centre Gold coast - the dealer rang with the price for new pads. After I picked myself up off the floor, I rang Greg and he had a full set of front pads made to OEM spec complete with electronic sensors dropped into Porsche that evening for fitment the next day.

All at one quarter the price and the performance is every bit as good as genuine

Thanks guys!

Going up from the A1RM I'd jump to Project Mu, which are the stand out leader in the absolute top end stuff right now. Choice of all bar about 2 V8 Supercar teams. I'd go the Club Racer pad, which is VERY similar to the H16-03 (V8 Supercar pad), but tempered a little differently, so no where near as expensive. To suit your GTiR would be $331.55 for the front, and $303.05 for the rear. You'd probably have to allow a month for manufacture though as I wouldn't imagine they'll be available off the shelf.

What rotors were you running the A1RM on?

Hi mate,

RDA Rear slotted rotors to suit STi are $319 for the pair. Alternatively DBA Street Series are $165 per rotor (almost the same price) or 4000 Series, which will last a lot longer due to their higher carbon content and heat treatment are $231 per rotor.

PF we don't stock, no particular reason except generally PMu is generally better and cheaper. The V8's have the choice of PFC01 or H16-03 on the front, and all bar 2 teams choose the H16-03. H16-03 to suit rear of Evo would be $465.50 for the. Or the 98% as good Club Racer I spoke about above would be $322.05 for the set.

Any other questions just let me know!

Is it just the one part number for the STi rotors Greg (ie. same spec rotor for 2005-08)? I think I may have asked you this previously but i lost the email so forgive me. The only reason i was after the PFC01 was because i was given some for the front to try (mismatched car) and wanted to match the compounds. Nevetheless, the club racer seems like a good option.

What rotors were you running the A1RM on?

I had the pads on vented standard size rotors - i think they are RDA but not sure. I spoke to you on the phone after i'd melted them and you mentioned that the discs had to be machined before fitment if they'd had a cheap pad on them before - incompatibility of the A1RM pad material with the thin layer of melted pad material already on the disc you suggested may have been the issue. So i got another set from you (A1RM's) and took them down to the guys are RaceBrakes here in Yarraville and spoke to Howard who reckoned that couldn't possibly have been the problem and they'd simply overheated as the rotor was too small and the car too fast. They never machine the rotors unless they're warped when fitting these pads apparently - fucked if I know!

So I don't know what to do haha! I have a set of the A1RM's here to put on front and rear, but if they're just going to melt again on the first two laps then I don't want to waste my time. The obvious solution is a brake upgrade with a larger rotor and bigger wheels but that's an expensive upgrade for a car that only occasionally sees the track.

Project Mu pads sound good but the price and availability doesn't. Does QFM do a higher temp pad?

edit; I should mention the car is actually a nissan NX-R coupe, not a GTIR pulsar, but it shares the same pad/disc/caliper combo.

In DBA rear it's the one part from 01-08 as they double drill the stud pattern. RDA there's a different number for 01-04 and 05-08.

Yeah either or. The Club Racer should be heaps. For reference the V8's run either H16-03/PFC01 in the front, and one of the rear options is DS3000, and I'd liken Club Racer to DS3000.

price on DBA 506s rotors ,in the street series , do these come in the 2 piece rotor also?
Hi mate,

- Street series slotted would have to be made, allow 2-3 weeks, and $181.50 per rotor.
- 4000 series slotted are in stock at DBA, $247.50
- 5000 series (2 piece) were available, but currently no stock, and no ETA. Could back order if you liked and that would speed it up a little, $536.25 per rotor.

Did you need pads, lines or fluid at all?

WOW... is all I can say to that. We've had numerous occasions of people fitting A1RM on rotors which had previously had TRW pads on them, and the A1RM performed pathetically... To say that changing pad materials on the same rotor doesn't affect it's performance it to not understand the very basic of the pad/rotor interaction.

Project Mu pads sound good but the price and availability doesn't. Does QFM do a higher temp pad?o.
QFM does, but they're not really worth it... As they're 1/2 the price of PMu, but will last 1/4 as long. Next step up would be the Comp 9 front/Comp 2 rear combo, which are $179 per set front or rear, and allow 3-4 weeks for manufacture.

Strange - hard to know what to think with this, as apparently Howard was one of the two guys who originally designed and tested the A1RM pads years ago. What I might do is take the car down, get them to machine the rotors all round and fit the A1RM's, then go do a track day and see what happens. Hopefully all is well - then we will have some more real-world insight into the problem.

If they melt again, I'll try ordering some of the project Mu pads.

Thanks again for the help and advice greg - appreciate it!

We do not currently have a physical outlet in Victoria yet but we are working on it. Depending on what it is you want to order, most of it can be over nighted from a supplier that is closest to you. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to pm or call.

ok, I'll give it a shot :)

BF Falcon ute in need of new front rotors, stock ones are ~86,000 old and shudder badly at highway speeds. Pads look to have plenty of meat in them (I think they've been replaced in the last year or so), and rears seem fine.. Gets used mostly for dragging my fat arse around but occasionally takes some gear in the back

Fanboys on AFF all say DBA slotteds (except the tightarses who say RDA)... Will DBA street slotted rotors chew the pads that are in there? (most likely OEM replacement things) If so, what pads would you put with them? How much for both?

Can wait for them to be shipped (Sydney) or whatever, but would ideally be invoiced before 30/6 :)

another shoutout to the boys.. & the dudes at RDA

so RDA 750S (258 x22 ,4 stud) rotors arrived last wednesday direct from RDA warehouse. wife accepts delivery, places inside front door. Rowdy takes to shed and places on bench, thinking MMM. weekend is coming soon, will look at them then, still waiting on cheap arse calipers.

Rowdy opens package, sunday morning, opens rotor box and notices rotors are 5 stud and biigggg... like 300x 32 mm - look at code on box, google search- Skyrine rotors.. hrmmm... no good for me... :(

Email nathan at brakesdirect monday morning. He calls RDA, RDA calls me about 20 minutes later very apologetic- my rotors are on the other side of canberra, and I have the other persons rotors in a packaging stuff up. Lady with skyrine rotors hadn't opened the box yet, so she was quite thankful I did! . Couriers are arranged. tuesday morning the skyrines are gone from my possession. Corolla's arrived with me today.

RDA guys were great to deal with, and brakesdirect were very prompt in getting the ball rolling.

We do have a couple of pads we can offer as an OE replacement. What exactly are you using the car for?

No seriously, I drive to work (not a salon), and a little spirited driving on the way, tho the breaks on the car at the moment (what ever was on there when i got it) seem to do the job well enough for me, car is up for rego shortly and breaks need replacing.

2010 Focus XR5 needs a front pad upgrade.

100% street driving but I drive pretty hard so best to give me your advice. Brake dust is pretty bad on the oem pads.

Hi Greg,

Probably the most popular pad we sell for the XR5's is a brand called Remsa. Remsa is a European performance pad which is rated to 650 degrees, and with a high carbon content, they provide low rotor wear. Also the Remsa come with noise reducing features such as a center relief groove and side chamfers in the pad material, as well as a soft backing shim. We've been supplying Remsa to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years, but the pricing has now become such that we're now able to expand it to most road cars. I can supply these fronts for $127 inc gst for the set.

If they are the same pad you supplied for my Cayenne - they are good shit!

Also - left a message with Matt? in your office on Monday - Greg can you get me quotes on Bilstein and Koni shocks to suit 86 Porsche 911 3.2 Carerra - haven't heard back yet. Was going O/S for them but the shipping is a bit rude and then got your email for buy 3 and get 4th free :)

Hi mate,

Yeah, we've been so flooded this week, and it hasn't helped the Bilstein's importers phones have been down!

Yep, Remsa is what we supplied for the Cayenne. We can know also do genuine VW/Audi pads for it too at almost the same price. Personally though, I'd still take Remsa.

Cheers,
Greg

Greg - Was wondering if you can source some upgrade front discs & pads for my 2009 Mitsubishi Triton GLXR 32.td (man). Mrs has run through 2 sets of oem pads and the oem discs are about shot. Had some DBA's ordered thru the local pedders mob but 2 week wait turned into 2 months so wanting to get something sorted sooner.

What discs can you do for the EVO VI. I would prefer some standard Brembos as the RDAs didn't last as long.

Hi,

If you're going through RDA's then go for a higher carbon content and heat treated rotor like DBA 4000/5000 Series. Price as follows:

- DBA 4000 Series Front Standard $148.50 per rotor
- DBA 4000 Series Front T3 Slotted $231 per rotor
OR
- DBA 5000 Series Front T3 Slotted $453.75 per rotor

- DBA 4000 Series Rear Standard $181.50 per rotor
- DBA 4000 Series Rear T3 Slotted $231 per rotor

Did you need pads, lines or fluid at all?

Greg

Don't take our word for it... here's what happy drivers have to say about the QFM HPX!

I just got back from a trip down the coast N.S.W did a 1000kms on the QFM HPX pads with the slotted rotors supplied from GSL and have to say zero dust. The car needed a wash not the rims for a change. I felt it brakes better than the stock pads. Also half the price of a stock set up and got slotted all round!
http://www.opelaus.com/forums/showpost.php?p=375398&postcount=20

I have been running the HPX on the front of the convertible for a couple of months now. I have not noticed any dust and the difference to whatever pads were there before is that they perform near 100% from the very first application!
http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php?p=819941&postcount=17

Got the pads put on today....freaking awesome man. I'll be highly recommending these to anyone who asks. The cold bite and the amount of speed it wipes off is just awesome!
http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/927602-post29.html

I put a set of QFM HPX front and Super X on the rear of my GF's twin turbo soarer and **** ME! The car stops so well! this was installed with RDA slotted rotors purchased from GSL RallySport. Great service, great products, recommend to anyone, and will be buying anything else i need from here!

20% OFF EUROPEAN MADE REMSA BRAKE PADS UNTIL 5PM AEST THIS FRIDAY!

Order any set of Remsa brake pads this week, and receive 20% off our regular (already amazing) price!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://www.gslrallysport.com/images/Remsalogo.jpg

WHY REMSA?!

Remsa pads are the pinnacle of European quality. Remsa are rated to 650 degrees (versus 550 for something like QFM HPX or Bendix Ultimate), whilst still delivering VERY low rotor wear and noise! Remsa come with noise reducing features such as a relief grooves and chamfers in the pad material, as well as a soft backing shim as standard. Remsa also come standard with the electronic wear sensors where required!

We've been supplying Remsa to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years with pricing starting from as little as $79 per set!

Introduction

Remsa was established in 1970, with its 39 years of extensive manufacturing knowledge and experience in producing automotive brake parts, it is now a leading company and placing a significant position in the world’s automotive brake parts industry. All Remsa Brake Pads are produced in factories across Europe. It has established ten production and logistic plants across Europe and America supplying customers with exceptional quality products and services..

Remsa’s brake pads have undertaken a comprehensive Road and full scale dynamometer test. AK- Master Test evaluates that the quality of Remsa brake pads are in best performance and going beyond the O.E results of some of the most popular and extended European Vehicle.

Remsa manufactures over 100 million pieces of brake pads annually in order to meet world demand and supply its customers a most complete product range. The range cover up to 99.4% of European, American, Japanese, Korean and Australian applications with more than 2000 references. Accessories that are fully in line with OES specifications are also included in most Remsa Brake pads. All Remsa pads are produced to OE specifications. Most aftermarket supplier in Europe evaluate ECE90 specifications as excellence. However, Remsa only set this as their minimum standard.

ADT (Alpine Decent Test)

All Remsa Brake Pads are tested by Remsa technical driver in Austrian mountain called Grossglockner with a 12% average slope and 18% at the maximum fall to ensure that all the brake pads functions even under this extreme condition.

HPT (High Pressure Treatment)

This is an unique manufacturing process of Remsa. 90% of brake pads reduce their functionarity at high temperature. However, all Remsa brake pads are treated at 650 degree high temperature and applying 10,000N press force per brake pad thus ensuring that the complete surface of the pad is evenly cured and keeps the reliability even at high temperature.

Environmental Friendly

Remsa Brake Pads are unique from an environment standpoint, they are all free of heavy metals such as, among others, lead, copper and asbestos. it is well known that these metals have devastating effects not only on the environment but also on the health of human beings, especially the drivers!!!

All Remsa Brake pads undergo a strict set of test procedures to ensure complete safety of all pads, including:

* Krauss Test
* Compressibility Test
* Heat transfer Test
* Shear Strength Test
* Dynanometer Test
* Alpine Test
* Hill hold Test

Do you guys stock RDA slotted rotors?

gslrallysport
21-11-12, 09:03 AM
Yep. But depending on what it's for there's generally better options for the same or similar money.

Rotors, we stock DBA, Project Mu, RDA, Remsa, Horsepower, Brakes Direct, Protex, Alcon and Fremax.

Pads, we stock QFM, Project Mu, RDA, Remsa, Horsepower, Bendix, Acre, EBC, Protex, TRW, Ferodo.

Then braided lines from HEL, fluid from Castrol, Penrite etc.

That's just on the brake side, suspension, race gear and apparel etc. becomes a completely different kettle of fish! Of the top of my head add in Whiteline, Super Pro, Bilstein, KYB, Sachs/Boge, Sparco, PM Lubricants, Koni, DMS, Contour, King, Eibach, Penrite Exedy, OMP, Recaro, Monit, Roil, Tein, Predator HID...

BACK to the original question... what were you chasing in RDA?

They're now available to order, but allow 4-5 weeks for manufacture as they're (not yet) a stocked item. I've just gone through my first set of them in the Forester and I'm in love. If I could dick a brake pad I would these ones!

Pricing for the Navara would be $119 for the set.

Hi,

I can supply those for $99 inc gst per rotor. Freight would be $25 to SA.

The easiest way to order is credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836, or else PM me your full name, email address, delivery address (preferably a work or business address!!) and contact number and I can fire you through an quote with direct deposit details.

Also if you need brake fluid, the fluid that we use and recommend is the Penrite RBF600 Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid, which is $24.95 for a 500ml bottle, and rated to 310 degrees dry. Two bottles are usually required for a full car flush.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

What are a set of Project Mu pads for the front of an NA8 MX5 worth?

Well there a couple options depending on what you want from a pad. The first pad i would recommend is the HC+. This is an entry level track pad that can still be street driven as it has good bite from dead cold and a max temp rating of 800 degrees. These are $284.05 inc gst for the front set and $265.05 inc gst for the rear set. Or for a dedicated track pad i would recommend the Club Racers. These have a workable temp range from 200-800 degrees. But will last longer on the track than the HC+. These are $331.05 inc gst for the front set and $303.05 inc gst for the rear set. Unfortunately we dont have any stock of these at present so they would be about 2 weeks from the date of order.

These are for a race car, so I'd say I'd be after the HC+. Consider my car to be the sports car equivalent of an under 2L IPRA car. Those prices are cheaper than I can get Carbotech's from the US. I have one spare set at the moment, but when I need more I will buy them from you. I'm the president of the club and we have our AGM tomorrow night. I'll mention to my members that they should be in contact with you for their brake needs.

Hi,

All of the Roll Control bars are made and tested here in Australia under Australian conditions. The are all made using a high quality spring steel, even the hollow ones. As for the welded mounts on the bars you are referring too, this is done only for the hollow bars and the only hollow bars at this point are made for commodores. The hollow bars are still just as strong as the solid bars but are designed that way for the purpose of being lighter for motorsport applications. They are slowly working on expanding there range so that all the bars will have the option of being solid or hollow. Is there a particular bar you are needing pricing on?

Hi,

Your prices are as follows,

Control Arm Lower-Inner & Outer Kit $132.60 inc gst
Control Arm Lower-Inner Rear Kit $132.10 inc gst
Steering Rack & Pinion Mount Bushing 25mm $24.22 inc gst
Steering Rack & Pinion Mount Bushing 30mm $22.24 inc gst

As for the sway bars at the moment they only have a template for a front 22mm HD adjustable which i can supply for $332.10 inc gst. Because the Roll Control range of parts is still relatively new, not all vehicles have been covered quite yet for sway bars. I should also ask, did you have any sizes in mind for sway bars that i can look for in maybe a Whiteline?

The Supaloy arms for the Golf are $514.11 inc gst for the pair.

No I was just asking about the integrity of the hollow bars in case a customer request's one or two but the reason I may install a hollow bar is not for weight reduction as you can quite clearly see in this paper.

Hi Stu,

My recommendation would be the QFM HPX pads. These are like an equivalent pad to Bendix Ultimate as they are both rated to 550 degrees, but dont come with any of the downsides of a Bendix like high dust and rotor wear. These are $79 inc gst for the set. The easiest way to order is to give us a call or drop me a PM.

Maybe an odd question, but what can you get (if anything) to suit rear drums for track use ?

Running rear drums on my Datsun 1600 (with 240Z finned alloy drums) and have issues with the lining separating from the shoe - done it twice now.

I was also having issues with the front pads (240K twin spot callipers) disintegrating a little around the edges (overheating ?) - I was running Bendix Ultimates. Now running your QFM A1RM which seems to have cured that problem, would be good if I could get the rears sorted as well.

Hi,

The only option i could think of for shoes designed for racing would be Project Mu. They have a small range of off the shelf shoes but unfortunately they dont have a shoe for a 240Z. But there is another option. If you could send me a full set of your shoes as a sample, we can send them over to Japan to have their racing material pressed onto the shoe. It can take up to 4 - 5 weeks. Your price would be approximately $249 inc gst for the set plus some freight.

Can you get e36 m3 fully floating replacement discs. Also do you do upgrade kits for the e36 ? Not that I have one I am just looking into the parts availability which seems much harder to find parts then the average holden/ford shopping carts.

Hi,

Our catalogs only list a two piece rotor for the E46 M3 and it is not a full floating rotor. We can do caliper upgrade kits from Project Mu and Alcon. These kits start at around the $4000 mark.

Hi,

Are you after slotted rotors? What exactly are you using the car for? Any track work or is this just a daily?

Regards Matt

I do have a pair of DBA Street series SL/SR rotors on the shelf at a stupid price of $149 inc gst for the pair. The pads i can do are Remsa pads. Remsa is a European performance pad which is rated to 650 degrees, and with a high carbon content, they provide low rotor wear. Also the Remsa come with noise reducing features such as a centre relief groove and side chamfers in the pad material, as well as a soft backing shim. We've been supplying Remsa to high performance street road cars like Porsche and Ferrari for many years, but the pricing has now become such that we're now able to expand it to most road cars. I can do these for $99 inc gst for the set.
