AE82 Twin Cam Corolla - Engine Busted

Hi,

Submitted for your approval.
My old corolla.
It is an 86 year model (I think)
And has been in a carport for 3 years now.
I was driving to work one day and all of a sudden it sounded like someone had thrown cuttlery into a tumble dryer and the car wouldn't go when I pressed the accelerator.
Car has no rego and would need to be trailered away.

Got a mechanic to look at it about a week before it blew up and they wrote a note about what was wrong with it.
It said:
"Needs new ENINE beerings"
(thats how it was written)

Car is in Canberra, ACT, Northside.

The car has the following:

Extractors and sports exhaust
15 inch alloys with 195/50R15 tyres. Good tread - (Federal tyres I think?)
Sports steering wheel (Generic brand)
Whiteline adjustable rear sway bar
Twin cam graphics removed from doors
4 x Clarion speakers and JVC ( I think ) Mp3 head unit.
TRD oil cap ( for extra powers! )
Some type of central locking and alarm ( Unsure if it still works as car battery is dead but light on alarm remote still lights up! )



Would be good if someone has a spare bigport 4age lying around oir needs spares for their car.

Had to get it out to make room for two pallets that haven't come yet.

The reason I never sold it ( in my mind) was because I never had a decent pic of it. So I took a pic Wednesday morning.

It was a cool little car. I was looking for an engine to replace the current one with a few years ago but I got a magna for for $50 and a bottle of Jim Beam with 11 months rego on it so I forgot about it. Then, just as the Magna was about to run out of rego I found the 180.

Thus is the story of it's forget-about-ness

16v is out of aw11 with 250,000km but ran fine when removed for GZE conversion. Unfortunately worth more as spare motor for when GZ(T)E blows up than to sell...

My bro is building it currently, AE101 smallport GZE in aw11 with my old HKS GT2510, is running and registered just needs an exhaust and final tune. Should make 160kw on low boost (Thats the plan anyway lol)

ps, if your going to do it properly, not a bodge job.. go redtop minimum.. or preferably GZE/20v.
