For sale: 1979 Series 1 RX7
Item Condition: good, needs a bit of work
Price and price conditions: Looking for around 6.5k
Extra Info: Read below. Has alot of potential, and already has some pretty good gear fitted to it. Just needs some more work.
Body/Exterior
Series 1 RX7 repsrayed in green
Series 3 front bumper and lower apron. New tail lights, indicators, all new rubbers, headlight washers and wiper blades along with alot of other stuff
Dark black window tint
Interior
Retrimmed interior, custom door trims, newish carpet/new boot carpet
Momo gear knob and auto technica steering wheel.
Series 3 front and rear seats
Autometer Pro Comp 2 1/16 water temp and oil pressure gauges custom mounted in series 3 centre console. Boost gauge mounted to A pillar.
Gizzmo MS-IBC Mounted under dash
Battery mounted in rear boot inside battery box.
Suspension
Series 3 Front struts with brakes
Braided brake lines front and rear
Koni adjustable shocks (fr)
Telaflo adjustable shocks rear (not fitted)
Custom 250lb king springs front
Series 3 RX7 diff, have spare centres for it
Rolling on stock series 3 rims (used to have simmons)
Under the Bonnet
Series 4 13b turbo, rebuilt at some stage (not by me). Not ported
Hiflowed T04, custom specs. gt35/40 compressor wheel, larger exhaust wheel. Machined housings, 360 degree thrust bearing.
42mm Garrett wastegate
Microtech LTX8 with 3 bar map sensor upgrade
Custom Alloy oil cooler
Large FMIC
K and N Air Filter
3 inch exhaust
Gizzmo EBC MS-II
All work and car setup (minus engine rebuild) carried out by Jake/JSR Race Engines
The car is engineered for most things, cant remember exaclty what would have to check the engineers papers
made 248kw atw or 330 hp at the last REACT dyno day. Managed to take out 2nd place, so i was happy with that (couple of years ago now).
What it needs done
Needs new clutch
Brake bias adjusted
May possibly need new suspension bushes in the front
Needs a wheel alignment
Needs a new battery
Battery box in boot needs to be mounted properly (previous owner did a dodgy job on it)
Can organise a new DCS Heavy duty button clutch for $550
Reason for Sale Moving to griffith, I have two rx7s, and only one of them can come with me
