I've taken over www.racingready.com.au from Farmsci on here who started it a couple years ago, and building the site up into a one stop shop for getting started in Motorsport.

A company that sponsored the rally last week here in SA has a product called zircoflex.
It is a plasma sprayed ceramic on an alloy sheet.
Seems this may better suit my needs.

I am going to get a sheet, and see how it goes. Seems more resilient then the cloth tape.

if the GT8 can work heat into the tyres quickly, I'd suggest giving the Soft compounds a go, .. old mate with the Commodore out there has picked up time on the mediums and they would be harder to get heat into in 1 lap
