    Drag Tyres

    My commodore has a 5.7lt engine, 3500 converter and a 3.36LSD.
What size slicks wouled be best to run.I know a 26in tyre is probably best but my concern is that they may be too tall with a 3.36 diff.Mickey thompson make a 22.4in slick.Wouled these be any good?

In drag racing, height is more important than width. You will need at least the 26 inch tyre mentioned, or preferably the 28.

Unfortunately I think you will find that the 28 won't fit.....

    Can running slicks ruin diffs?

I've heard of people blowing their diffs by running slicks (latest HPI magazine some guy in a supra has done it ).

How do slicks affect 4WD systems? Can they bugger up the front and rear diffs together?

    slicks

if you want to know what size slicks to run go to WWW.RICHMONDGEAR.COM, go to support, then performance calculators, drag performance, then enter the info required, the higher your horsepower the taller the slick you must run!
    just crank up the boost.......again!
